BG Mancini, is a Neurodevelopmental Specialist, Advanced Certified in Functional Medicine, and AP/PCP. She is the founder of www.braingutinstitute.com and creator of The Family Nervous System®. With 27 years of practice, she works with children &amp; families to unlock their unique potential through biomedical, nervous system &amp; neurodevelopmental practices.
Through educating clinicians, therapists and parents about the underlying factors driving children&#8217;s behavior, she advocates for holistic support, emphasizing the impact of internal and external microtraumas on physiology, and its impact on behavior. She highlights the importance of including Interoception, Proprioception, Neuroception, Sensory Processing, Interhemispheric Movement, and Nutrition in any conversation about children’s wellbeing, development and mental health. She is a founder and Programs Director of the first Polyvagal &amp; Trauma-informed Functional Medicine &amp; Neuro clinic to welcome children and families. She teaches healing is always a family affair, it&#8217;s never just one member who needs support to rebalance the whole.
The goal of her research and work is so that every child can feel as comfortable as possible in their brain and body to more deeply connect with themselves, their loved ones and the world around them regardless of diagnosis.
