<p>Donna is the Executive Director of GBS/CIDP Foundation of Canada. Diagnosed with GBS (Guillain-Barré Syndrome) in 2009 and then diagnosed with CIDP (Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy) in March of 2011. Donna became the Executive Director in the fall of 2013 with a personal mission to bring awareness across Canada of the rare inflammatory peripheral neuropathies so that patients are diagnosed and treated early for better patient outcomes.</p>
<p>Donna is married to Wayne, with two girls ages 18 and 16. Prior to her GBS she was an IT consultant for many years in telecommunications engineering. Donna finds her garden very therapeutic and her bike and treadmill a constant personal challenge.</p>
