“An Alzheimer's diagnosis has to be the worst thing anyone can be told, especially when it's followed by the statement there is nothing that can be done so go home and make arrangements for a nursing home! My brother-in-law received this diagnosis about eighteen years ago and his disease advanced rapidly.
By 2015 he always talked about a trip he took with his uncle when he was a young boy, over and over again. In early spring of that year his urologist went on a two week vacation and his replacement stopped in to introduce herself and asked if she could do a quick examination and was told yes. During the exam she discovered what she thought to be tumors. It was cancer and had spread throughout his system. He was gone by June. It was a very difficult time for his wife, children, and grandchildren, as well as his extended family. I believe everyone thought it was a blessing when he died. So when I saw the advertisement for the first Summit back in August 2021, I immediately enrolled. It was so informative and gave me a feeling of hope that some doctors were on the right road to discovering help for anyone who had this disease. I especially enjoyed this fourth summit and look forward to any future summits that may be offered. Thank you and keep up the good work of giving hope for a disease that had no cure, or even a ray of hope that a pill could be found to help those suffering.”
