Welcome back, everybody. I&#8217;m still with John here and we&#8217;ve been talking and now I&#8217;m gonna flip to the employer side. So we talked about on the previous segment of how doctors should look at the contract from an employee standpoint, but now we&#8217;re gonna talk about from the employer standpoint. So I own Texas Center for Lifestyle Medicine and I want to make sure that in my contracts, I am protected, yet I want it to be fair with the people that I&#8217;m hiring as well. So what are some sort of best practices for practices to put in the contract that makes sure there&#8217;s fairness on both sides and yet we&#8217;re protected as well?

Jon Appino started his first company at the age of 17 and another at 19. Mr. Appino obtained a BS in Biology, Chemistry, and Economics with a Pre-med focus but after deciding on a business career over medicine he has spent the next 12 years working in both large and small scale Pharmaceutical and Biotech companies in multiple roles as well as start-ups in the healthcare field. He completed his MBA in 2004 and launched his most recent company and passion &#8211; Contract Diagnostics, in 2011. He is passionate about the education of Physicians with regards to the non-clinical (business) aspects of medicine. He currently lives in Parkville Missouri with his wife and two young children.

Dr. Ruan is the Founder and CEO of Texas Center for Lifestyle Medicine. He devotes his career in practicing and building systems that allow for efficient delivery of healthcare. He is a board certified internal medicine physician but also have advised with companies to improve their workflow, company culture, marketing, and operations.
Dr. Ruan has over 600,000 social media followers across his platforms and has been vocal about improving doctor patient relationships in healthcare. Furthermore, he is part of a collaborative medicine coalition involving notable university healthcare systems such as Harvard, USC, and the Cleveland Clinic.
