I am giddy with excitement. I'm not just saying that for our next guest, because he is a legend. He is somebody that when you look at healing, the new way of teaching patients how to take responsibility for their own healing versus running to a doctor, and, doctor fix me, I'm broken. This was the guy that really started that movement a long, long time ago. And his name is Emmett Miller. He's the author of one of my favorite books. It's called "Deep Healing." And you can go back to that book time and time again, and it's filled with such amazing tools for healing. Dr. Emmett Miller began his practice in 1970, and right from the get go. So think about that everybody. Like over 50 years ago, when everybody else was just prescribing pills and doing the traditional way of trying, doing their best, trying to help patients, he started taking a different route. He wanted to help patients heal and take responsibility for their healing, and their happiness, and their well-being. And I'm just so happy to have you on Emmett. Emmett Miller, MD, acclaimed as one of the fathers of Holistic Medicine, is a mind-body physician, psychotherapist, visionary, musician, healer, coach, and creator of the field of Guided Imagery. Dr. Miller pioneered the combined use of meditation, mindfulness, and guided imagery in medicine for deep healing, spiritual empowerment, and peak performance, and he created the first deep relaxation/guided imagery tapes in 1970.
His healing work is highly experiential, using deep relaxation and inner imagery to evoke healing energy, inspiration, and peak performance. His goals at the community level are to integrate personal inspiration, collective intelligence, and collective wisdom to help create global healing and peace.

Tom McCarthy is a husband, father, author, speaker, entrepreneur, and investor who has owned businesses in the training, software, financial services, and restaurant industries. Tom’s clients in his training business include some of the worlds leading companies such as Cisco Systems, Microsoft, Salesforce, Wells Fargo, and MetLife. His latest book, The Breakthrough Code, details his 3-Step system for creating a breakthrough in any area of your life. After his father’s death, when Tom was three years old, he struggled for years with fears and anxieties and constant physical maladies. After exhausting traditional medicine and not finding answers, he eventually turned to energy medicine.
