Hi, everyone. This is your host, Dr. Joseph Antoun. And today we have a very special episode with Dr. Alan Goldhammer is a unique doctor with a unique approach to chronic conditions. In other words, if not the one that in today’s world is using long-term fasting to reverse multiple chronic diseases. And this is what we’re going to focus on today, is the use of a longer fast, medically supervised fast is the longer you go, especially when you go on water. You need medical supervision is what Dr. Alan built. He built a full-care team that specializes in fasting and long-term fasting for medical conditions, what we call now medical fasting. Inspired by Dr. Goldhammer I did my first 30 day fast 18 months ago. I lost 50 lbs in 30 days under the care of my physician husband. My life changed exponentially with the weight loss, including my cognitive heath and my spine health. Inflammation was entirely resolved.

Since then, I eat omad and intermittent fast.
I longer term fast 1-5 days several times per month.
18 months later I am on day 2 of a 15 day water fast.

As a homozygous APOE4 carrier, fasting careful nutrition and exercise are the lifestyle choices that help me maintain my heath.
