Hi, everyone. Welcome to the Reversing Type 2 Diabetes Summit. I am your host, Dr. Beverly Yates, ND. It is my distinct honor and pleasure to interview James Barry. James is a professional chef who has a wonderful background, and his expertise in cuisine and the healing power of food is something that you are all going to want to listen to and pay close attention to. I know that for many people, food is near and dear to their hearts. But when we are talking about reversing types of diabetes, prediabetes, and different kinds of blood sugar-related issues and struggles, nutrition is at the center of what we’ve got to pay attention to. Making food tasty and healthy can be done, and you need to know what you are doing and why.

In this case, let me introduce our guest for this episode. James Barry has 17 plus years in the culinary field, and he started as a private chef cooking for celebrities like Tom Cruise and George Clooney, Sean Puffy Combs, Barbra Streisand, and more. He is also a published cookbook author and has coauthored the recipes in multiple books. He has been busy, including with Dr. Younger’s New York Times bestselling book, Clean 7. Most recently, he launched his first functional food product, Pluck. P L U C K, an Organ-Based Seasoning. Again, we are looking to make food flavorful and nutrient-dense. That is the goal of it all. It is the first of its kind. It is an amazingly easy and delicious way for people to get organ meat into their diet. Nutrient density is what we are all about, especially for blood sugar control.
