Dr. Greger to Host Chronic Pain Summit on DrTalks Platform with Klaus Mitchell

Chronic pain affects one in five adults, making it one of the most common health conditions in the world. In August 2027, DrTalks hosts How Not To Hurt, a summit exploring the foods, habits, and lifestyle changes shown in research to ease pain. It is led by New York Times bestselling author Dr. Michael Greger and co-hosted by Klaus Mitchell, who has lived with chronic pain for nearly two decades.
Named after Dr. Greger’s new book, How Not to Hurt, the summit features more than 15 webinars from Dr. Greger and more than 15 interviews by Klaus with doctors, researchers, and patients. Topics include back pain, arthritis, migraines, fibromyalgia, IBS, nerve pain, and more.
Dr. Greger also shares the Soothing Seven: the seven foods shown to help with multiple pain conditions. “My goal was to create the most definitive, evidence-based guide on natural approaches to pain management and relief,” says Dr. Greger.
At 17, Klaus was injured in a casual football match. A blood clot went misdiagnosed for six months, leaving him with post-thrombotic syndrome, a lifelong condition with no complete treatment. Instead of giving up, he dove into the science of pain and lifestyle medicine. The YouTube channel he started in 2015 grew into Plant Based News, and his book on chronic pain, Built From Pain, is released in 2027.
The pair have worked together before. Their interviews have passed one million views, and Plant Based News hosted the How Not to Die documentary, with more than 190,000 views.
“Dr. Greger’s work is a great place to go for real hope backed by real evidence,” said Klaus Mitchell. “If you’re living with pain, you’re not alone, and there is more you can do than you’ve been told.”
“Too many people in pain have been told there’s nothing left to try,” said Bret Gregory, founder and CEO of DrTalks. “Dr. Greger brings the science and Klaus brings the lived experience. We’re proud to share practical tools people can start using right away.”
