In Colorado, Dr. Marbas achieved a significant milestone by persuading a major hospital to establish a lifestyle medicine program focused on a Whole Food Plant-Based (WFPB) diet. The program's success was undeniable. At another institution, she spearheaded a month-long study involving 26 employees on a WFPB diet, with the hospital kitchen providing meals. Each participant reported marked health improvements. Dr. Marbas has also shared her expertise at events like the Golden VegFest in Colorado and the International Plant-based Nutrition Healthcare Conference.

Dr. Marbas earned her dual degrees (MD and MBA) from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine and its School of Business. She was honored with the Gold Headed Cane Award from Texas Tech University School of Medicine, symbolizing excellence in medical practice and patient care. During her medical studies, she authored seven books, six of which belong to the "Visual Mnemonics" series. These innovative books employ cartoons to aid in memorizing vast amounts of information, a technique she personally found invaluable as a medical student and mother.

Serving her country, Dr. Marbas is a United States Air Force veteran with deployments in the Middle East and South America. Beyond her professional accolades, she is a wife, mother to three adult children, author, speaker, and passionate runner.
