Dr. Patel is triple board certified in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology and Lifestyle Medicine. He has also been inducted as Fellow of American College of Endocrinology and a Diplomate of American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. Born and brought up in western Indian state of Gujarat, he is an alumnus of BJ Medical College in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He moved to the United States thereafter and pursued residency in Internal Medicine at University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville and then fellowship in Endocrinology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Pursuing the quest to treat the whole person and not just a system he got boarded in lifestyle medicine and now runs his Lifestyle medicine focused Endocrine practice called Center for Preventive Endocrinology and Nutrition in Tampa, FL.
He has also been one of the doctor patrons for Crack the Wellness Code, a 501c3 non profit working on spreading the message of lifestyle medicine across the globe.
He constantly strives to guide and coach his patients and clients on journey of reversing insulin resistance and chronic inflammation with a mind body approach to lifestyle transformations. He walks the talk and encourages his family and friends to adopt a healthier lifestyle. He is a son, husband, father and active member of his community. He has been an invited speaker at different community events, health fairs, Vegfests and various online events/summits. He is trained in Indian Classical music and likes to spend time with his family and his backyard plants in his free time.
