Dr. Tom Rifai is the founding CEO of Reality Meets Science Inc., which now does business as FlexMD, a digital health company, He is the Cheif Architect of the <a href="https://dpm.drtomrifai.com/">Flex5 Lifestyle</a> system for health and longevity, a system licensed to and thriving at Henry Ford Health System and now is being introduced to Magna International, the US’ largest mobility technology company and auto supplier where Dr. Tom now serves as its US Medical and Wellness Director,
Dr. Tom is a diplomate of both the American Boards of Internal and Lifestyle Medicine as well as a past president of the National Board of Physician Nutrition Specialists. His Bachelors in Psychology was earned with Highest Honor from Michigan State University and he is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University, where he earned his MD.
As co-host of the True Health Revealed podcast, Dr. Tom has interviewed a who’s who of leading world experts in nutrition and lifestyle.
The Flex5 Keys are rooted in an advanced understanding of Flexitarianism (overall lifestyle of “discipline without self-defeating extremism”) and is inspired by Dr. Tom’s unique combination of medical and lifestyle modification training blended with his personal experience with binge eating disorder. A disorder to which he lost his youngest brother, Basil in 2017.
Dr. Tom is a Pritikin ICR educator and for over 10 years was course co-director for Harvard’s most popular online Lifestyle Medicine CME program: ‘Nutrition and the Metabolic Syndrome’, which integrates his Flex5 Keys and which has now been taken by over 7000 healthcare professionals.
Dr. Tom is married to Angela. The couple have two wonderful children, Liliana and Antonio. They live happily in Birmingham Michigan
