Wynford Dore is a British entrepreneur who has created multiple successful companies each based on ground-breaking technology.
His first company created new ways of protecting buildings from fire &#8211; some claim this technology would have saved the 9/11 disaster. But his eldest daughter, who struggled badly at school, attempted to take her life, so he sold his rapidly goring company in 1998 to devote his life to help his daughter, and the millions like her. He wanted to understand why some &#8220;learn&#8221; and &#8220;develop skills&#8221; effortlessly and some don&#8217;t.
He collaborates with neuroscientists and cognitive psychologists from Harvard, Sheffield University, and others. This resulted in the creation of physical exercise programs designed to stimulate the very part of the brain that is responsible for what we become a &#8220;natural&#8221; at&#8230;.or don&#8217;t. The result is , reading and learning become easier, and skills become more highly developed&#8230;..in other words, increased mental capacity. A recent study published in “Nature” shows that the very combination of exercises he pioneered and has fine-tuned during the last 20 years creates stem cells in the cerebellum, the critical junction box of the brain.
He is passionate about finding ways to improve the education system and owns a famous private school in England, recently short-listed for “Best School in the UK”.
His life purpose is to prove that many currently struggling with reading, learning, attention issues have loads of hidden potential &#8211; which can now be revealed and brought into use.
