Dr. Kristine Profeta is a Harvard-trained physician and founder of Profeta Vitality Institute in Morristown, New Jersey, with more than 20 years of experience in root-cause, integrative and precision medicine. Board-certified in family medicine and integrative medicine, she specializes in treating complex chronic illnesses, including Lyme and tick-borne diseases, autoimmune disorders, chronic fatigue syndrome and neurodegenerative conditions. Her approach combines advanced diagnostics with a focus on epigenetics, mitochondrial health and the microbiome to identify underlying contributors to illness and develop individualized, biomarker-driven treatment plans. Inspired by her own health journey, Dr. Profeta has dedicated her career to advancing a more personalized approach to medicine that extends beyond symptom management to support long-term health and longevity. She earned her medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University, completed her family medicine residency at Overlook Medical Center and pursued a fellowship in integrative medicine at the University of Arizona. A three-time New Jersey Top Doctor, she is also a clinical associate professor at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and the author of A Nation of Unwell, which explores the rise of chronic illness in America and the role of precision medicine in restoring health.
