Dr. Gina Dang is a liberatory embodiment guide, licensed acupuncturist and practitioner whose work weaves together somatic trauma work, Taoist alchemy and cultural anthropology. She was born and raised in Los Angeles to Vietnamese refugee parents, studied anthropology at UC Berkeley, and came to this medicine sideways, after the coping strategies that carried her through childhood stopped working. She enrolled in a Japanese-style acupuncture program in Northern California meaning to try a single semester, and stayed through a master’s and a doctorate.
She practiced first in Oregon and now works across Los Angeles County, offering in-home acupuncture and one-to-one coaching built on somatic awareness, Human Design, Taoist alchemy and earth-based practice, alongside a growing amount of group facilitation. She also writes Auric Minority, which she describes as a soft anthropology of consciousness for curious minds and soft hearts.
