Hannah Dunning is a health advocate, educator, and textile industry consultant dedicated to uncovering the health impacts of clothing and textile materials, particularly on women and children. Inspired by the loss of her grandmother to estrogen-positive breast cancer and her own experience with cholestasis of pregnancy, she began investigating the potential connections between environmental chemicals, textiles, and health. Today, she works with textile and fashion companies to transition toward safer materials, educates consumers on healthier clothing choices, and collaborates with researchers and doctors to help address gaps in understanding the health effects of what we wear.
