Dr. Jed Fahey is a nutritional biochemist, researcher, and internationally recognized pioneer in the study of plant-based chemoprotection.
During his 27 years at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Dr. Fahey conducted extensive research into naturally occurring plant compounds and their effects on cellular defense systems. His work helped establish broccoli sprouts as an especially rich source of glucoraphanin, the precursor to sulforaphane.
As former Director of the Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman Chemoprotection Center, Dr. Fahey helped advance scientific understanding of how plant compounds interact with the body’s protective pathways.
Today, he continues to contribute to public science education and research into sulforaphane, NRF2 activation, and the potential health applications of these naturally occurring compounds.
