Shane Aspegren is a somatic sound facilitator, embodied integration coach, and the founder of ONDO, a Los Angeles based holistic sound practice. A musician and multidisciplinary artist for more than thirty years, he has recorded and toured internationally as a drummer and percussionist, including work with Bright Eyes, and co-founded the band The Berg Sans Nipple. He grew up in Nebraska, spent years living in Europe and then Hong Kong, and now works out of Los Angeles.
His practice brings together more than a decade of specialized training in vibrational sound, trauma-informed somatic work, therapeutic yoga and breath, and support for non-ordinary states. He collaborates with Dr. Suraiya Rahman at Pala Medicine in Pasadena as the somatic sound facilitator for ketamine sessions, leads group sound baths and one-on-one sessions, and is launching an ongoing somatic integration circle. The name ONDO comes from the Esperanto word for wave.
