Appetite

Appetite refers to the natural desire for food and the psychological and physiological factors that influence our motivation to eat. Hunger and satiety cues play a crucial role in regulating appetite. Hunger signals the body's need for energy and nutrients, while satiety signals when we are full and should stop eating. Hormones, such as ghrelin and leptin, play a role in appetite regulation. However, appetite can also be influenced by external factors like stress, emotions, social cues, and the availability of food. Disruptions in appetite regulation can lead to eating disorders or weight management issues.
