Estrogen

Estrogen is a group of hormones primarily produced in the ovaries in females and, to a lesser extent, in the testes in males. Estrogen plays a crucial role in the development and functioning of the female reproductive system, regulating the menstrual cycle, supporting pregnancy, and promoting the growth of secondary sexual characteristics. Additionally, estrogen influences various physiological processes in both sexes, such as bone health, cardiovascular function, and cognitive function. Imbalances in estrogen levels can lead to health issues, such as irregular menstrual cycles, menopausal symptoms, and certain hormonal disorders.
