MARCoNS Testing and Nasopharynx Swab 0:00
There's another bacteria that can also set up housekeeping in your nose. It's called multiple antibiotic resistant staph aureus or marcons. We ask that you come into the office to have this done. If that's not within your current readiness and ability, We have you sign a Marcon's release and ask that you have a certified medical assistant, doctor, nurse, PA conduct this test. Why? Marcon's lives deep within the recesses of our nasopharynx. So that means that we use this very small swab and go way back into the nasopharinx and collect the sample.
You need a medical professional who knows how to do this so that you will do no harm.
