In this video, I share why daily writing has become a non-negotiable part of my routine—not just as a physician, but as a business owner and operator. Writing helps me clear mental clutter, think more strategically, and tap into a level of creativity that directly impacts how I lead and grow WeTreatFeet Podiatry.
I also discuss how engaging with authors, reporters, private equity analysts, consultants, and fellow physicians sharpens my perspective—and how those insights translate into better patient care and stronger business decisions.
Writing isn’t just expression. It’s a tool for clarity, strategy, and long-term growth.

Writing as Daily Clarity 0:00
Writing every day isn't just a habit for me, it's a form of clarity. As a physician, a business owner, and someone constantly making decisions, there's always noise. Clinical decisions. Operational challenges. Financial pressures. It builds up quickly. Writing gives me a way to organize that noise, It forces me to slow down, think deliberately, And put structure around ideas that would otherwise stay scattered.
Creativity Beyond Clinical Work 0:24
But there is another side to it. Writing taps into creativity in a way that clinical work doesn't always allow. Medicine is structured. Writing is where I get to explore, question, and connect ideas across disciplines, healthcare, business, economics, even personal growth. That creative process sharpens how I think, not just how communicate.
Turning Ideas Into Better Business 0:49
And that has real impact beyond me. At We Treat Feet Podiatry, the benefit shows up in how we operate and how grow. The insights I develop through writing don't stay on a page. They translate into better systems, better patient communication, and better business decisions. I'm constantly exchanging ideas with authors, reporters, private equity analysts, consultants, other physicians. That cross-industry perspective helps us stay ahead, not just clinically, but strategically.
Writing as a Tool for Clear Thinking 1:19
Writing creates leverage. It turns experience into something scalable, something that can influence how we think, how lead, and how build. For me, it's simple. If I'm not writing, I am not thinking as clearly as I should be.
