. Thatโs why Xealth grew. They embedded digital prescribing inside the electronic medical record. Instead of adding work, they removed steps. A patient gets an app recommendation for diabetes. A provider gets relevant data back. Care happens without creating chaos. Simple wins. Founders often ask why adoption is slow. Sometimes the answer isnโt pricing. Sometimes it isnโt sales. Sometimes your product requires behavior change from already overwhelmed users. Healthcare rewards convenience disguised as innovation. Fundraising Is Not a Volume Game #shorts
Most founders think fundraising is about doing ๐ข๐ค๐ง๐. More decks. More meetings. More follow-ups. But what Keara Sauber made painfully clear is this: In the episode, Keara shared how quickly investors decide whether to lean in or move on, not because theyโre arrogant. But because theyโre overwhelmed. If your story canโt land fast, it wonโt land at all. And clarity isnโt about dumbing things down. Itโs about discipline. What problem are you solving? For whom? Why now? When founders lead with complexity instead of coherence, they unintentionally signal risk. Not because the idea is bad. But because the thinking isnโt tight yet. This is where hustle quietly works against you because activity without strategy creates noise. And noise is the easiest thing for investors to ignore. So before you send another deck, ask yourself one hard question: ๐ฌ Whatโs the hardest part of your story to explain right now?
Hospitals Want Innovation But Only Proven IdeasHospitals Want Innovation But Only Proven Ideas
Many founders believe hospitals are waiting for innovation. Theyโre not. Tony Paquin shared something important in our conversation: โHospitals want to innovateโฆbut they can only deal with proven ideas.โ Healthcare systems operate in high-risk environments. Every new product affects patient safety, compliance, and operational workflows. That means even brilliant ideas face resistance. Hospitals arenโt asking: Is this innovative? Theyโre asking: Is this safe, proven, and easy to implement? Innovation doesnโt fail because itโs bad. It fails because the risk feels higher than the reward. The founders who succeed understand this early. They build proof, pilots, and partnerships first. What do you think is the biggest barrier for healthtech startups trying to enter hospitals?

The Real Reason People with ADHD Struggle (Itโs Not Focus)
ADHD is primarily a disorder of emotional regulationโnot simply attention. Jheri explains that while executive functioning challenges are important, emotional dysregulation drives many of the difficulties associated with ADHD, including procrastination, low self-esteem, rejection sensitivity, and inconsistent focus. Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD) can profoundly affect daily life. The conversation explores how perceived rejection or criticism can trigger intense emotional responses in people with ADHD. Learning to pause, examine automatic thoughts, and strengthen emotional awareness can help reduce the impact of RSD. Neurodivergent brains are differentโnot broken. Rather than forcing neurotypical strategies, Jheri encourages individuals and families to understand how ADHD and autism function differently. With individualized treatment, supportive parenting, and practical emotional regulation skills, neurodivergent people can thrive.
The Gut Bacteria Secretly Controlling Your Estrogen
Gut dysbiosis directly disrupts estrogen through the estrobolome Lisa Smith explains that the estrobolome โ a collection of gut bacteria โ regulates how much estrogen circulates in the body. When dysbiosis occurs, an enzyme called beta-glucuronidase rises and "unpackages" estrogen that was already marked for elimination, causing old, already-used estrogen to recirculate and contribute to symptoms like PMS and perimenopausal mood swings. Leaky gut and cortisol create a hormone domino effect Lisa describes leaky gut (intestinal permeability) as holes in a hose that let undigested particles leak into the bloodstream, triggering inflammation and raising cortisol. That cortisol rise "steals" pregnenolone โ the shared raw material for cortisol, estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone โ while also speeding up hormone metabolism and blunting hormone receptor sensitivity, including through insulin resistance. Simple, low-cost gut changes can improve hormone response โ even alongside BHRT Lisa outlines practical steps: a targeted probiotic, prebiotic foods (onions, garlic, apples, bananas, avocados, artichokes), removing inflammatory trigger foods, prioritizing sleep before midnight, and managing stress. She notes the gut can begin shifting in as little as 2-3 days, and that addressing gut health first can help women get better results from bioidentical hormone replacement therapy.
NAD+ Gets the Headlines. Is NADH the Form Your Cells Actually Use?
NAD+ and NADH are not the same thing. Claire's central point is that NAD+ is the oxidized form your body still has to work with, while NADH is the reduced, electron-carrying form involved in making cellular energy. Understanding that distinction is the frame for the whole conversation. How you deliver it changes the experience. BioBloom offers NADH as an intramuscular injection, a subcutaneous microdose, and a wrist patch. Claire contrasts that with the long chair time of a traditional NAD+ IV, which is also why she sees a practice-throughput angle for clinics. This is an early, practitioner-guided space. Claire is candid that she came to this as a founder, not a physician, and that BioBloom sells through a clinician portal. The useful move for a listener is to bring the questions raised here to a practitioner who can look at your individual picture.
Your Hormone Labs Arenโt Telling the Whole Story
Test, don't guess. Dr. Lizโs whole approach starts with data: she wants to see how your body is actually making and breaking down hormones before recommending anything. Not all hormone tests see the same thing. Blood catches a single moment (and mostly the inactive, bound hormone), saliva catches the free fraction, and urine shows the 24-hour picture plus how you clear hormones. Her analogy: blood is peering through a hole in the wall, urine opens the gate. Treat the "why," not just the number. The more useful question isn't whether a hormone is high or low, it's why it's behaving that way, which points back to genes, gut, blood sugar, sleep, and environment before you ever reach for a hormone.
