Refining how you represent yourself in your Psychedelic Business
Follow these key steps to build your brand
Building a Psychedelic Business: Stop following trends. Start setting them.
The biggest mistake I see people in business making right now in the psychedelic-field is this: They’re building what already exists. Same messaging. Same offerings. Same tone. Psychedelics are not a quick fix, and how you build your business isn’t either. Full transparency- the space doesn’t need more of what already exists. Key Business Tip: Don’t look for the trend. Look for what nobody’s paying attention to. If everybody sees it, it’s no longer an opportunity. Stepping into this field is becoming one of the most meaningful paths people are choosing – and it’s incredible to watch this movement evolve. As you’re doing your market research – don’t just look for “what is working or what other people are doing”... Listen to what’s missing. Pay attention to what others overlook: the subtle shifts, the unmet needs, the unspoken truths that people don’t want to say. The most impactful ideas don’t come from copying what’s “hot and shiny” , they come from noticing what’s missing, and being courageous enough to build it before anyone else understands it.
San Pedro Micro-Dosing
SP🌵is first and foremost a sacred, ancient plant medicine – an intelligent plant ally held with reverence, intention, and respect far beyond a Western clinical lens. When I use the word “product,” I’m referring only to the form created from the medicine – one that is ethically sourced, sustainably grown directly from our grower, prayed into, and kept in its full form without altering or stripping anything away. This isn’t about commodifying the medicine, but about creating understanding, access, and education for people who may not yet have the language, context, or resources to work with it in traditional settings. Using more than one lens doesn’t take away from Indigenous wisdom or ancient principles – it allows more people to learn about them, approach the medicine responsibly, and build an intentional relationship rooted in respect. Multiple entry points can be regenerative, not reductive. What’s also powerful is that modern research is beginning to validate what traditional cultures have long known. SP 🌵 contains mescaline, which interacts with 5-HT₂A receptors involved not only in perception and consciousness, but also in inflammation and nervous-system regulation. Emerging research suggests these pathways may help reduce pro-inflammatory markers, support neuro-inflammation balance, and promote greater nervous-system resilience. A regulated nervous system supports clearer thinking, emotional stability, hormone balance, and healthier stress responses – helping us move from reaction into grounded presence. This is where ancient plant knowledge and modern neuroscience begin to meet, offering pathways for healing that honor tradition while expanding understanding. These conversations matter. And holding nuance, integrity, and respect in how we talk about plant medicines matters just as much. – – 𝘋𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘳: 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺. Microdosing belongs in the conversation
Low doses belong in the conversation and broader narrative. 11 million people reported working with these medicines, and 69% of them reported low-dosing at least once. I imagine this number would double or triple if we all reported our experiences. We’re living in a moment where this movement is real, widespread, and continuing to grow. As the demand increases, we need to build intentionally, for longevity, and serve with sustainability + humanity at the center. - - 𝘋𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘳: 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘮-𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺. Tour Review : Community and The Brain Medicine Revolution
Brain health requires a personalized, root-cause approach. Cognitive decline can involve multiple interacting factors, making it important to investigate individual patterns of dysfunction rather than rely on a single explanation or treatment. Social connection and community are important dimensions of healthcare. Supportive relationships and group-based approaches can help people explore emotional patterns, strengthen healthy behaviors, and build lasting connections. The future of brain medicine depends on coordinated, integrative care. James identifies functional and precision medicine, community, team orchestration, and psychedelics as four pillars shaping his vision for a more comprehensive approach to health.

Aging Doesn’t Have to Mean Decline | Healthy Aging After 50
What if getting older didn't mean automatically accepting decline? In my conversation with Maria Cristina Sheehan, we talked about the possibility of aging differently, and why we shouldn't underestimate what our bodies can still do. Maria Cristina has a goal: to be able to balance on a beam at 90. I love that kind of thinking. Instead of assuming our best years are behind us, what if we stayed curious about what's possible? We don't know what we're capable of until we try. Watch my full conversation with Maria Cristina Sheehan on HOTNESS, where we explore resilience, healthy aging, and the possibilities ahead. New episode drops Friday on Hotness. #HealthyAging #Longevity #WomenOver50 #MidlifeHealth #HOTNESSPodcast #DrLizLyster

Trying to get pregnant and it feels like everyone else is getting there faster? I've been there. But conception isn't guaranteed every cycle. So many steps have to line up, from ovulation to implantation. If you're in your 30s and it's taking a while, don't jump to conclusions. Sometimes it just takes more time.
