The ‘Total Load’ Theory Every Parent Should Know
Uncover how seemingly unrelated triggers like gut issues, pollutants, stress, and even the family home can stack up to create a ‘total load’ that keeps kids stuck in illness. See how the CHIRP study turns life stories into data, connecting the dots between subtle exposures and symptoms you might never have linked before. Find out how the FLIGHT study is transforming hope into action, giving parents guidance and coaching to lighten their child’s total load and rebuild health from the inside out.
Why Sjogren’s is destroying your teeth
If you have been doing everything right for your teeth and things still keep getting worse, I want you to hear this directly. One of the things I hear most from people with Sjögren's is that they are doing everything right and things still feel like they are falling apart. Brushing, flossing, regular cleanings, following the recommendations. And still dealing with recurrent cavities, gum line decay, sensitivity, and dental work that fails earlier than expected. Here is what is actually happening. Saliva is not just moisture. It buffers acid, clears bacteria, remineralizes enamel, and maintains balance in the oral microbiome. When Sjögren's targets the salivary glands, all of that natural protection drops. A 2023 study found that people with Sjögren's have a salivary pH of around 6, compared to 7 in healthy controls. At pH 6, enamel is significantly more vulnerable. And a 2025 meta-analysis of over 3,700 patients found higher rates of tooth loss even among people with regular dental care and good habits. If you have been carrying guilt or shame about your teeth, I want you to set that down. It is not simply a hygiene problem. There is real biology driving this. And understanding that is the first step toward getting care that actually matches what your body is working with. Comment YT RESOURCE so I can send you the full YouTube video where I talked all about this. The Hidden Link Between Infections and Sudden Behavior Changes
Discover how a simple infection can confuse the immune system into targeting the brain, creating sudden tics, rages, anxiety, or personality changes that are too often mistaken for behavioral issues instead of a treatable medical problem. Explore how different autoantibodies create different symptom patterns, allowing parents and clinicians to understand why a child might suddenly stop sleeping, become terrified of eating, or develop intense separation anxiety overnight. Learn why healing the gut often helps the brain heal too, including surprising insights about the microbiome, dirt exposure, and why sterilizing everything may have weakened many kids’ immune resilience.

Discover how a parent’s autoimmunity and health history can influence a child’s risk. Learn why optimizing thyroid levels, cleaning up infections, and reducing toxic burden before and during pregnancy can matter—even if it doesn’t guarantee a perfect outcome. Understand why flares are so confusing and emotionally draining. Hear practical ways to think about infections, viruses, allergies, and invisible triggers, along with simple tools like anti-inflammatories, antihistamines, and calming supports to get through the worst days. Why Protocols Fail Complex Kids
Discover why 'treating the diagnosis' breaks down fast—and how shifting to what’s actually happening changes what you look for and what you do next. Understand the cell danger response as a protective survival mode—and why oxidative stress, mitochondrial slowdown, and 'disconnected' cells become a problem when that response stays stuck on for years. Learn why protocols can’t replace thinking: the same symptom can have different drivers, and real progress comes from identifying triggers (like infections, toxins, or deficiencies) and designing a plan for the individual in front of you.
The Most Misdiagnosed Illness in America? A Lyme Expert Explains
Discover why so many people stay sick after ‘standard treatment,’ and how co-infections can hide, alter symptoms, and completely change the clinical picture. Understand how immune dysregulation drives prolonged symptoms, missed diagnoses, confusing flares, and why so many urgently need a different approach. Learn how mindset, nervous system support, gratitude practices, and foundational lifestyle work help prepare the body for deeper treatment, often making the difference between staying stuck and finally recovering.
Why Sudden Skill Loss Is a Medical Emergency
Discover why sudden regression in children could be a loss of neuronal function that deserves urgent and thorough medical evaluation. Understand how one underlying neuroimmune process can present differently across ages, from language loss in toddlers, to OCD and tics in school-age children, to chronic fatigue and POTS in teens and young adults. Learn why recovery requires more than removing a trigger, including restoring energy metabolism, reducing inflammation, supporting sleep and nutrition, and helping the nervous system exit chronic fight-or-flight.
The Diet Mistake Almost Everyone Makes With Kids
Discover why asking kids to add specific foods, rather than remove favorites, can reduce resistance and quietly shift eating patterns over time. Understand why lifestyle foundations like sleep, movement, and nutrition often determine progress more than the number of supplements or prescriptions used. Learn how having a primary care provider who coordinates, listens, and adapts care can make complex illness feel manageable instead of overwhelming.
