Lara Pizzorno, MDiv, MA, LMT

A member of the American Medical Writers Association for more than 25 years, Lara is the Editor of Longevity Medicine Review and Senior Medical Editor od Integrative Medicine Advisors, LLC. Lara’s review articles in Integrative Medicine: A Clinician’s Journal can be found on PubMed and via ResearchGate where she is a member. Lara covers the breaking research on bone health via tweets, blogs, video clips, and Facebook Live presentations available at www.AlgaeCal.com, and lectures at medical conferences in the U.S. Europe, Russia, Australia and New Zealand. A member of the American College of Nutrition, she is a contributing author to the Textbook of Functional Medicine, the Textbook of Natural Medicine (Osteoporosis chapter, 5th edition, published 2020), and Integrative Therapies for Depression; co-author of The Encyclopedia of Healing Foods, and lead author of Natural Medicine Instructions for Patients and of Your Bones: How You Can Prevent Osteoporosis & Have Strong Bones for Life, Naturally, 1st and 2nd editions, which have been translated into German and Polish. Lara has been recognized annually by Marquis Who’s Who since 1996 and in 2017 received the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement award. In 2019, she was featured on a FOX News (Seattle) segment on bone health, and recently, in the Spring 2020 issue of POSES, the magazine of Wheaton College, Norton, MA, where she completed her undergraduate work with honors. Lara is now completing her MS, Clinical Nutrition at MUIH (Maryland University Integrative Health).
