Chris Flores

Chris Flores is the founder of USA Payments, a merchant services and payment processing company he has owned for ten years, specializing in healthcare, health tech, telehealth, and pharmacy. He spent his early career in marketing and business development, running his own agency until clients in the healthcare, supplement, and early CBD markets kept telling him the same thing: we have a great product and we cannot take payments. He sold the agency and went into payments full time.

He was, by his own account, in business at six years old, opening packs of Pokémon cards, pulling the shiny one, resealing the pack, and selling it at the park until the parents started knocking on his mother’s door. By eleven he was running an eBay store selling model ships sourced from downtown Los Angeles. He is first generation in the United States, the son of parents who built their own insurance and import-export businesses, and he is based in Los Angeles with his wife of thirteen years and two young children. His company has grown from a three-person team to roughly fifty, and much of this conversation is him thinking out loud about what that has required of him as a leader.
