Jason Fitzgerald is the founder of Strength Running, a platform dedicated to helping runners improve performance while staying healthy and injury-free. After a severe ITB injury sidelined him for six months following the 2008 New York City Marathon, he transformed his approach to training and injury prevention. Since then, he has achieved a marathon PR of 2:39:32 and experienced a dramatic reduction in major injuries.

A competitive runner since 1998, Jason competed for Connecticut College and has earned multiple race victories, including overall wins at the 2011 Moraine Hills Half Marathon, 2012 Maryland Warrior Dash, and 2013 Potomac River Run Marathon. He is a USA Track & Field certified coach, former Men’s Running Influencer of the Year, and a writer for publications including Runner’s World and Trail Runner Magazine, where he currently writes the Performance Corner column. Jason also speaks, invests, and advises companies in the running and health and wellness industries.
