Adrenaline

Adrenaline, also known as epinephrine, is a hormone and neurotransmitter produced by the adrenal glands in response to stress or perceived threats. It is part of the body's fight-or-flight response, preparing the body to cope with challenges or danger. Adrenaline increases heart rate, boosts energy levels, dilates airways, and redirects blood flow to essential organs, allowing for a rapid response to potential threats. While adrenaline serves an essential purpose in survival situations, chronic activation of the stress response can have negative effects on physical and mental health. Balancing stress and engaging in relaxation techniques can help manage adrenaline responses and promote overall well-being.
