Tsh

TSH is a hormone produced by the pituitary gland that regulates the function of the thyroid gland. It stimulates the production and release of thyroid hormones (T3 and T4) into the bloodstream, which play a crucial role in regulating metabolism, energy levels, and various bodily functions. Abnormal TSH levels can indicate thyroid dysfunction, such as hypothyroidism (low thyroid function) or hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid). Thyroid function tests, including TSH measurement, are essential in diagnosing and managing thyroid disorders.
