Understanding dyslexia and reading difficulty 0:00
Listen, I get that you've been diagnosed with dyslexia in the past and that identify with that. But dyslxia by definition means difficulty reading words. 95% of the patients that I work with have difficulty in reading, but because of treatable functional vision problems that cause exact same symptoms or behaviors. it's not like your brain is missing the area that allows you to read or that the visual centers and the language centers,

and proprioceptive centers. And the Visual Processing Centers aren't able to communicate to each other. It's that they haven't learned how to yet efficiently and automatically and unconsciously. That's what vision therapy is. Its essentially brain training to allow the wiring and neurology to fire together and then wire together so that the eyes can work together as a team, your brain can process that information, and you can make the very careful and intricate eye movements that are needed to read.

The tracking, the convergence, focusing, that's something that is a learned process. It's a learn experience and something can be learned well and not learned as well as it could be and that some intervention is needed. But I have yet to find a brain that we could not teach and train how to read more fluently, efficiently, and productively. So I would challenge you to question that.
