Introduction to Sylvia Bill Lansky and the Foundation 0:00
Hello, everybody. Welcome to our plant based cancer summit. And we're a pleasure to have an important guest with us today, Sylvia Bill Lansky. She's the head of the Trojan Ski Foundation. She's, actually was a lawyer. And she turned French lawyer and turned a health advocate because her father was a very famous cancer physician researcher. And so she continued to support his family legacy and bring his work is very important work toward to a larger population in the United States, particularly the United States today and and also all over the world.
So she's become of literally a leader in the health and environmental research. And as part of this 501 C3 Jan Ski Foundation, they focus on natural approaches to cancer and supporting research in natural approaches to cancer. So it's really been great to have her work being done over our deck, over the last decades in promoting natural approaches that either can use in conjunction with conventional therapies, or at times when conventional therapies are needed or not or not advisable. These can make a big difference in people's long term outcomes.
So she's also on the producer of the Jan Ski Integrative Cancer Conference, and I'm going to be a keynote speaker there this year. But she brings together world's renowned ex renowned experts in to explore advances in advance of integrative cancer care. And she's also has a book, Winning the War on Cancer An Epic Journey Towards a Natural Cure, which received numerous accolades including the Amazon bestseller and International Book Awards. And she also hosts a podcast, the Bill Jane Cancer Talk Show, where she explores integrative approaches to cancer treatment.
So we have so we're excited to have her join us today. Hi Sylvia, thanks for putting some time into speaking to our audience today. Hello, and thank you for having me. I'm delighted to be with you today. The death from. Great. So I think that let's start with the important point is that there are certain plant extracts that have been used for decades and have shown benefits for cancer patients for certain types of cancer, and most people with cancer are unaware of the importance and and the research behind these plant extracts that can be used for people with cancer.
Father's Research and Natural Plant Extracts 2:35
Correct? Absolutely. My late father, Doctor Maya Conventional, she was a PhD in molecular biology, was one of the first scientist back in the 70s, 80s to speak of, environment as opposed to cancer, when everybody else was only speaking of genetic mutations. And he had the idea that nature hold to the root cause for a lot of cancer, but also as a solution for lot of cancer. And he had the idea to create a test where he would test for the carcinogenic potential of a number of compounds that are available in our environment.
And then he used this test to look for compounds that would do the opposite of carcinogenic molecules. That means that he would look for compounds that would it beat the synthesis of cancer DNA with no effect, unhealthy DNA. And he was very lucky to find several compounds in nature able to do that. And he selected the resource, which seems the more potent, the more powerful. And he started to research them extensively. My father left a legacy of 133 peer reviewed papers. So, that was quite, extensive and remarkable at the time.
And he was also giving a lot of conferences, was a very charismatic man. And he got the interest of a doctor who was affiliated with former President Francois Mitterrand. And that got to help transform Mitterrand. When Michel was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer. And Mitterrand took so little plot extracts, and again, against all odds, he was able to finish his second term, which ensure you to the number of politicians who had backed that. Based on what conventional medicine could do, Mitterrand would not finish his second term.
And after Michel finally, finished his second term and fine several months later, best passed away. The government sent the army to destroy my father's laboratory and his entire line of research. So I as a lawyer, I was struck by the violence, by the unfairness. I tried to understand, to understand what what was behind that. And it was definitely not about bringing a man to justice. And I uncovered the power of those lethal plant extracts. And I decided to carry on with his legacy and give them a second chance for being studied and appreciated.
So there were full, full plant extracts that he really focused on. One is coming from the Amazon rainforest. The traditional use, of course, is about tropical fevers, malaria, those kind of things. My father was the first one to really identify what was the active molecule and tested for cancer. And indeed, it is able to have a large action, a large spectrum against many cancer cell lines. And unlike cancer cells, nor action unlike cells. So a very selective, targeted benefit. It's also able to cause the blood brain barrier.
So that said that, as a benefit and as a synergy with chemotherapies, the second plant extracts revolution from Italy. And the revolution, let me tell you also, he's quite well known in medicine. It's said that Gandhi was using it to kill himself down. There was back in the 80s, a controversy about you have told you it's a bee. Some were using it for breast cancer, some users saying that it was increasing the rate of of cancer. So he looked into deeply into this extract. And he found that a main alkaloid called, reserve pain is indeed toxic.
But if you remove the main alkaloid and you look at the exact which is he's yapping free, but and stunning, which you have a product which as a cancer benefit is and is also able to balance hormones. So that's extremely beneficial. He found that to some specific extracts also had us
Key Extracts and Their Cancer Applications 7:50
with more potent than others to have anti-cancer benefits. All all green teas are that equal. And he selected for guarantees for the very potent, benefit for anti-cancer benefits. And finally there was a gingko extracts made exclusively of golden leaves. The leaves found gold yellow in the fall, and change of color of the leaves is a reflection of the change of the chemistry of the leaf. So forget everything you know about circulation and things like that. Those specific ginkgo extracts are shown to help with skin fibrosis, repair, and prevent skin fibrosis, which can be important for people undergoing radiation.
And also recently we saw that these same plant extracts is able to prevent angiogenesis. So the with regards to these hormonally sensitive cancers, I think that you have a product called pasta Bill that combines the rare wolf here with the pale airy to see. How kind of a vulnerable meter. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. So, so even though it's quote profitable though, it's really indicated football for all hormonally cancers, breast cancer, prostate cancer and ovarian cancer. Is that right. So that's absolutely right.
We feel for women because it was a little bit difficult to promote. Plus double two ladies. We have another formulation called womb level and womb. Also the power preservative. Ometer. Yeah. And some green tea because we tested the green tea on breast cancer cells with, with great success. So that's we we created this new, new formulation for ladies. But yes, I, I, me Toya has a very large spectrum of anti-cancer benefits. So you cannot go wrong by using them as a one of them. Yeah, right. And do you would you recommend people take that who don't have cancer?
Only people who have a diagnosis of cancer, but anybody use it? Preventatively against cancer only. So yes, I mean, those products have been around so that the Playtex talks have been around for about 40 years. So yes, we have seen people taking them. I mean, loading on them as soon as they receive a diagnosis of cancer. But we have seen also people who I mean cancer free but afraid to have the cancer, seeing the cancer are coming back and they are taking some like two, two bottles in this plane, two bottles just sold just to maintain and continue to fight cancer stem cells, which is something that the latest research is showing that cells extracts are able to do.
And that everybody should do things that he has seen. Because, if you are going to drink tea, let's think of tea, which is. To have this preventative effect. It's like eating a healthy diet. Yeah. You drink vegetables and it's part of the complex of phytonutrients to protect cancer. Yeah. So you could use it the so the we would use it with a little higher dose. We're talking about possible. Well let's say with a person who has a diagnosis of prostate or breast cancer, they could use 1 or 2 a day.
But then if they have get diagnosed with cancer, they're probably using a little higher dose, maybe two twice a day or three twice a day. They're increasing. Absolutely. Absolutely. Generally it's one capsule per 20 pounds of body weight. And per day for, for acute cancer. And it can be taken alone. It works together with most integrative therapy. We have shown also the synergy of action with chemotherapies, which is documented. And all those, publications are available on the website of the Foundation.
But is that okay? Do you recommend spacing it out, like if you're taking for a day like every five hours, so you're getting it in your tissues all day or night? I exact it's better to have them. It's but it's better to have that in the in the blood circulating in the bladder as long as possible as possible. You know. If, if there is no cancer cells or pre-cancerous cells or inflammation. Because the research also shows an anti-inflammatory benefit. Those who is the power behind for me tell you, you are going to eliminate the product in a matter of hours.
Eat it under the microscope. It's possible to look at those plant extracts which happen to be naturally fluorescent,

and you see that they stay outside the healthy cells. But the free of, I sense, penetrates cancer of the nucleus, the nucleus of cancerous cells and and prevent so specifically the duplication of those cancer cells. So so that's great. So you have these products that are mostly used for these hormonally sensitive cancer cells, but not for other types of cancers, like what about melanoma or other types of leukemia lymphomas. Absolutely. We have not done some research with that because we have focused I mean, we can destroy everything.
We have focused, right? Pancreatic, ovarian and, prostate cancer. I know we are doing some research on breast cancer and breast cancer stem cells in a more specifically. But yes, at the time of my father's, some research was done, on leukemia and also on glioblastoma, because, again, purpura causes a blood brain barrier. And there was, different mechanism of action also, which were identified, shrink from apoptosis to regulation of interleukin six to upregulation of 53 inhibition of five alpha reductase for prostate, I mean, all those mechanism of action, doing all good things and acting synergistically and cumulatively, right against context.
And really, no, no, it's really like a nutrient. It's even though it's it doesn't allow cancer cells to replicate. It's an anti replicate of substance with no toxic effects, no side effects, nausea, indigestion, vomiting, bloating. It doesn't really have those. No no no side effects. It's a very gentle product. It doesn't touch healthy cells. It remains outside. It doesn't affect it that doesn't affect the some of the just the fights. What needs to be fought. That's really cool. Okay. So great. So so you have so then about what, 20 years ago you developed this nonprofit.
So salvation. To continue the research. Yes. So so my father developed those are products like in 40 years ago in the in the 80s everything collapsed in in France with the French army as I told you in 96, my father passed away in 98. And in 99, I decided to create a non-for-profit organization and invited about a hundred French doctors to New York who had been using my my father's products. And I was able to also to have the presence of a handful of American doctors. One of them was Doctor Michael Schachter from from New York, who was one of the luminaries here of, of integrative medicine back in the in the 90s.
And he very quickly he was very open minded. He quickly understood the value of what the French colleagues were saying. And he had a patient who had pancreatic cancer on the advanced case of property group pancreatic cancer. He said, the poor fellow is not going to, to, to to risk so much. I'm going to try this product on him. And the the poor fellow started to get better and better. So he gave us a similar plot extract about their own meter. Yeah. Two other patients. And we also got better. Michael Schachter, the first American paper that I mean, created to the beginning of the recognition here in the and the American market.
Right. And then you've produced more research articles supported by the foundation since then. And then, yes, we're working on some new research articles with regard to inhibiting cancer stem cells. Right. Tell me about what you're doing now too. Yeah. So so with the first paper, actually, I was so happy. And, you know, I've been in network and in the States at the time, I gave a copy of I had to, to everybody I knew, including my bunker. Turned out that the bunker was a patient of Doctor Aaron Katz at Columbia University.
And then Doctor Katz was like, oh, that sounds interesting. This story we submitted for square meter, would you come to Columbia University? And we started to work on at with Columbia University and prostate cancer. And from there, Doctor Katz was presenting one day his results, and I was seated next to to a lady who told me, oh, that's interesting what you're doing. Would you have the same thing? Do you have something for prostate, for for women, for ovarian cancer? And I said, yes, the same thing because it is not specific of gender body part.
It is it recognized the DNA of cancer cells and specifically inhibits the duplication of cancerous cells. So that's how we started to work with Kansas University Medical Center on ovarian and pancreatic cancer. And, we were able to confirm the synergy of action
Broader Uses, Antiviral Effects, and Support Information 18:05
with gemcitabine carboplatin. And from there we were able also to take it to the cancer stem cells level. Right. So just to the people listening, understand what you're saying, that the that when a, when a cancer's aggressive and replicating rapidly there are and chemo is needed because it could be. And then you're saying that using this in conjunction with chemo, it works synergistically to help it work better in kill and prevent more cells from escaping the chemo that could then come back and cause a reoccurrence.
Yeah, yeah. So there could be stem cells that escape the chemo, that could come back and grow back into cancer, and those surviving stem cells that escape chemo and may come back and cause recurrence five years later. Those are particularly inhibited by these compounds. Yeah. So what what we saw is the true number of adult cancer cells that were this tide was much higher when combined. The plant extracts with chemotherapy. We were destroying much, many more cancer cells without any added toxicity.
And that there was no metastasis. And the fact that there was no metastasis led us to find some research, specifically unconscious stem cells, cancer stem cell cells. Those embryonic cells which are immature, have the possibility to resist chemotherapy and stay in the body for some time and eventually will create a new cancer. So I think everybody who is diagnosed with cancer should, on day one of the diagnosis, start thinking cancer stem cells and not just destroying adult cancer cells, because now we know that's not enough.
One out of five people with cancer will develop eventually that of cancer and probably is a little sentence worse than you have. Cancer is cancer came back after everything you have been through after the chemotherapy, the toxicity, losing your hair and everything and being told cancer is back. So that's sometimes said just overwhelming. And people give up. Yeah, I think that's the it's the idea that very often chemo is used inappropriately or it doesn't really add much. But when it but sometimes with aggressive cancers chemo is utilized.
But it's over a finite short period of time. We're using these aggressive therapies. But then using these nutritional therapies you continue with them much longer term through upcoming years of your life. Because chemo is not a guarantee to you. They're not going to have a cancer recurrence. You still not going to have transitional cells developed because cancer has you know, it's like there's different cell lines. Some can escape chemo and they can mutate to escape chemo or come back again. And that's why continuing with treatment for years after the cancer diagnosis, even a person seems to be well, has the effect to give people long term protection.
We're talking about what you do over the short run is not enough. We have to have a long term program that people continue to keep the cancer from coming back again. And that's why you want a long term program with no toxicity. Right? And that's and that's where, you know, those little products can make a difference too, because it can be taken for a very, very long time. They can also be used together for people with people using IPT for a lower dose of chemotherapy. And that's also to benefit from the synergy of action and lower the toxicity of the chemotherapy.
So you're saying that people there's some other diseases that are proliferative diseases that are not cancer, that this can be useful for, right? I was saying about for people using low dosage of chemotherapy, I insulin potentially chemotherapy that can be used also to have chemotherapy. And the synergy of action. Right. Right. So low dose chemo with the with to make it less toxic with these extra with the extra. That's also a possible protocol. Yeah. Right. And there are centers that are using that.
And that's using those protocols. Now. Yes. Absolutely. Cool cool. All right. Good. So what about other applications. Any other applications besides cancer for these extracts that you talked about. The opera has also antiviral properties. I conventionally it was used for malaria and so on. There was a clinical trial at the time of my father on HIV. But we, we know, for example, have this papilloma virus. So kind of a RNA based virus has found very well to power, And for once, you have me. Toria, I've been told that very good results for for fecundity to us, because it's quite correspond to it helps almost to to be at the top.
And so everything we can do to, to help having babies and also hot flashes, doing menopause, all that is helped with having shiver me to you. It sounds like what you're saying that because of the antiviral and hormonal effects, it may benefit a person with herpes type infection or even cervical cancer caused by viral exposure. Absolutely. So potent as a strong antiviral benefit? Yes. Not for budget power. Yes. We give a lot of approaches for people to improve their nutrition, to reverse cervical dysplasia and cervical cancer, and adding this to that adds another element of effective effectiveness to help the body resist those.
What that viral replication. Absolutely, absolutely. And so there is a benefit also for other RNA based viruses like now Covid for example. Also, as we have seen good results on long, long Covid, we now have a study on long Covid. Now that's very important. I'm glad you were glad you filling one of the gaps there. Terrific. So all right so before we finish this, thanks for your contribution here. Before we tell people how they can support the bill Foundation, how they can contact you or things like that, let's finish up and tell me what.
Sure. So the maintenance Key Foundation is A50163 American based in New York City. So if you support this very unique, research, please. I mean, we need all the support we can. So the donation will be tax deductible to the extent, allowed by the law. And, friends of the foundation will give $50 and more. So they get 5% of the products, and we have events. You can buy my books all those ways. Good, good ways to support what I think we are doing. It's a Belgian ski foundation. So our website is, that orgs, always new things, new always new events.
So it's a podcast, so feel free to, to follow us and support us. Terrific. All right. Thanks. Support of this part of the summit. We're giving people tremendous information they can put into action in their life. So it's great. All right. Thanks again for all your work you've been doing to over the last 25 years, right? Yes, indeed. Thank you. Thank you very much, doctor. Filming. Take care. Bye bye everybody.
