Research has shown that increasing nitric oxide bioavailability through various interventions directly activates this pathway and improves endothelial function, the health of the inner lining of your blood vessels.
So nitric oxide also works through a process called S-nitrosylation where it modifies specific proteins that control blood vessel constriction.
