Full Transcript Podcast Intro and Rebecca's Background 0:00 My case was backlogged for three years. 0:03 So I had to wait three year to go to court. 0:06 And so on that three-year portion of everything, it became truly like a shell of a person that I was. 0:13 It's a completely different setup and feeling than the traditional TMS because it's considered advanced TBS. 0:21 Correct. 0:21 And so with the traditional, that's every single day for it can be anywhere from 30 to 45 days, depending on what your protocol is. 0:31 And it takes like a few hours even to like get set up sometimes because like this crazy huge helmet. 0:37 But with ExoMind, it's a 6 to 12 treatment protocol. 0:42 It's Welcome to the Deeper Healing Podcast. 0:45 I'm your host, Danielle Howley. 0:47 This is for everyone who's been dismissed, misdiagnosed, or told to just live with it and refuse to accept that answer. 1:05 You're going to hear amazing patient recovery stories, raw and real in their own words. 1:10 People who found answers after everything had failed them. 1:13 You are going hear from medical experts we trust that are pioneering new approaches to healing the body. 1:18 Because we deeply know we're designed to heal. 1:21 Let's dig in. 1:28 Hi, everybody. 1:29 Have an amazing, amazing guest today. 1:32 We were just having the most fascinating conversation and I thought, shoot, we better start recording because it's just too good. 1:38 So this is Rebecca. 1:40 Rebecca is our rep for ExoMind, which is amazing brain treatment. 1:46 And we're going to get into that today, but her personal story is even more fascinating because she had a journey to Get Where You Are Now with Exomind. 1:58 so when she started telling me I have quite a personal story I thought no no this is a podcast there are so many girls out there like Rebecca and so tell 2:09 us how this all began go back to the beginning yes so take it all the way back in high school um I played softball, I played soccer, 2:18 was very outgoing. 2:19 I was in any and every club possible. 2:22 Had a ton of friends and was outgoing, very outspoken. 2:26 And I actually graduated 15th in my class by accident. 2:34 Between like 480 and 520 students that was in our graduating class, I accidentally graduated 15th, so that's pretty cool.
Trauma, Backlogged Case, and Loss of Function 2:41 But learning and everything came extremely easy to me, always. 2:45 I could just retain information super quickly and make friends really easy. 2:50 So smart, gorgeous, and school's easy and so life is good. 2:55 That's amazing. 2:56 Hey, look, it's a blessing. 2:59 Take it. 2:59 That's incredible. 3:00 So I moved 10 hours away from home, went to Ole Miss, I went into college, COVID hit, so I move back home. 3:07 Okay. 3:09 Once I'm moved back, home after COVID, hit 2020, actually was sexually assaulted 2020. It was horrific, all the things. 3:19 And from there, because it was COVID, All the cases were backlogged. 3:24 So my case was backlog for three years. 3:28 I had to wait three year to go to court. 3:31 On that three-year portion of everything, it became truly like a shell of a person that I was. 3:38 There's something called victim impact statements that your family's able to give in court for like sentencing and stuff like that. 3:46 And so my family actually did those and they had a lot to say. 3:50 I didn't know actually, but they have a say about who I, was how I acted, how it wasn't as outgoing, How I did it, have any friends, 4:00 I failed out of nursing school twice. 4:04 And it wasn't because I wasn''t studying, it was because i would try to retain information. 4:09 I'd have to read the same paragraph like four or five times just to try and get it in my brain. 4:15 It took a really long time for me to study, retain, information and stuff. 4:21 So you have this traumatic event and you are a completely different person post-event. 4:29 And we're in lockdown. 4:30 So what was available to you? 4:32 Were you able to get therapy? 4:34 Like when you say the impact statement, so I'm assuming that you made those and then your family's making them about how you've been changed. 4:44 Is that one time? 4:46 Is it a one-time recorded thing? 4:48 How does that happen during COVID? 4:50 So during COVID, how it all started, so the county actually set me up, and we didn't do this, but the County set up with a therapist and she was brand new, 5:00 like two weeks new and didn' really know what she's doing. 5:04 Like she even told me, she said, I have no idea. 5:05 And I was like, well, this just isn't going to be for me. 5:07 So I actually went through five different therapists and I'm actually did find one. 5:13 She's amazing. 5:15 in Savannah, but I didn't find her until right after my case actually closed. 5:22 So it was after three years. 5:24 I had already went to court and he had been convicted. 5:27 It takes a long time to find a therapist that actually works and is helpful. 5:32 But I mean, I went, right? 5:33 Three years of Non-good therapy, basically is what you're saying. 5:38 That's what I did. 5:39 Okay. 5:39 All right. 5:40 Well, the medication too was on a plethora of different regimens, like anti-anxiety kind of like Zoloft. 5:51 So dulling you down. 5:52 And I had no emotions. 5:54 like zero, nothing. 5:55 That's one of the biggest complaints is people feel really, really flat. 5:59 They're just like, I have no emotions, no libido, No desire.
Therapy, Medication, and Emotional Numbing 6:04 Like everything is just, like I don't feel like myself. 6:08 So, okay. 6:08 Combination, not good therapy. 6:11 This was assigned to you. 6:12 Three years of non-good therapy, that's a lot. 6:15 And then, so you must be seeing a psychiatrist that giving you the medication. 6:21 Wow, really? 6:22 Okay. 6:24 And then where does ExoMine come into this story? 6:28 So you're in a dark place, basically. 6:29 Yes, darkplace. 6:32 So I switch over, I fail out of nursing school the second time. 6:36 I was like, what am I going to do? 6:37 I'm going do something.I love healthcare. 6:41 But I love marketing and building and all like businesses and stuff like that. 6:47 switched over and got an associate role with BTL, which is the creators of ExoMind. 6:53 And the day I was offered the job was the date I graduated from college. 6:56 Okay. 6:57 This is 2024, 2019. I've been here every year. 7:01 So we got this job and we went to our national sales meeting that same week. 7:09 At this huge national national meeting, they tell us this brand new device that they have. 7:14 And I knew about TMS therapy, but I also knew how hard it was to get approved through your insurance to do it. 7:22 And all the steps that that took, and I just didn't want to go the bandwidth to that. 7:27 So just to give a little history, the way that it used to be, if transcranial magnetic therapy was being recommended, you would have had to have numerous 7:39 drug fails. 7:40 They were always like, line of defense, take the drugs. 7:43 that you wouldn't become eligible to even get the therapeutic treatment, the healing brain treatment until those had been exhausted. 7:52 And it depends on your insurance too. 7:54 Each individual insurance can have different qualifications for failures. 7:59 So it can take you like two to five to 10 years to get qualified and to prove that. 8:05 You have failed. 8:06 Yeah, that's insane. 8:07 But I mean, I just had a friend who didn't stage four cancer. 8:10 She couldn't get her insurance to approve the PET scan that her oncologist was ordering for her. 8:15 And I'm like, make it make sense. 8:17 So don't let's not even go, we won't go sideways. 8:20 Okay. 8:21 You're at a new job, you're young, You are excited. 8:26 you are in this company. 8:27 They show this incredible brain treatment that is brand new. 8:31 Transcranial magnetic therapy, which is an incredible and this is like way better than the old one. 8:38 The old way was very long, very loud, sometimes painful. 8:41 I heard painful, this new machine doesn't have any of those problems. 8:45 So, okay, so you're sitting here going, wait, could this be good for me? 8:48 I immediately asked my mom, she was like, we want to try these out. 8:54 And they're like yeah, absolutely. 8:55 We'd love you to have your own stories. 8:58 That's what I immediate did. 8:59 After we got back from the national sales meeting, then I turned around and I was, like okay somebody get me it immediately. 9:06 Yeah. 9:06 And thankfully, there was one of my offices that had it available and I went down and started doing treatments. 9:14 It's a completely different setup and feeling than the traditional TMS because it's considered advanced TBS.
Discovering ExoMind Through BTL 9:22 Correct. 9:23 And so with the traditional, that's every single day for, it can be anywhere from 30 to 45 days, depending on what your protocol is. 9:32 And it takes like a few hours even to like get set up sometimes because it's like this crazy, huge helmet. 9:38 But with ExoMind, It's a six to 12 treatment protocol. 9:44 twice a week, and it's super easy to set up. 9:46 Like, it just is a little paddle that just sits right here. 9:49 It doesn't hurt. 9:50 If feels like somebody's tapping on your head, I take a really, really nice nap every time I do mine. 9:54 But I have been able to come off of all of my medications since doing the Exomein treatments, And I was fully dedicated to, 10:03 like, function. 10:04 like truly to be normal, you know, like to able to function, not like freak out and not have the anxiety or like super, super deep depression. 10:14 I've had to been medicated. 10:16 And I was like, okay, this is my life, which is a lot of my family members. 10:19 So I'm like okay. 10:19 Well, I guess this was, are normal. 10:23 So, doing the Exomein treatments, I've completely come off of all medications. 10:27 This is incredible. 10:29 So just to summarize, so smart, extroverted, amazing girl, traumatic event, therapy, medication from primary care. 10:40 You're completely flat, not yourself whatsoever. 10:44 Your entire family is like, this is not Rebecca, this is not even who she is. 10:49 And then you by some grace of God get hired by a company that is a brand new machine that isn't even out yet, that heals the brain and gets you off all 11:00 your medications. 11:01 Do you come back to who you were? 11:03 How do you feel now? 11:05 I feel like I used to feel, like, I should have just skipped. 11:12 If you were to take that whole chunk of my life where I wasn't myself and you would just take it and continue with how I used to be and now, 11:21 I think I'm just the older version. 11:23 I feel like that's how i am. 11:26 It's hard for me to even relate back to who I use to. 11:31 To even think back and be like, That's kind of crazy that I felt that way and that, you know, I was this upset and like, 11:38 this was the mind space up because I'm not even close to that now. 11:41 So it's just wild to see the growth that's happened, but it is life changing for sure. 11:46 You know what's amazing too is it didn't take long. 11:50 Talk about that because that is the other thing like okay, three years of therapy and medications. 11:56 Not good. 11:57 You're not good, you're in a flat, scary, not yourself place thinking this is going to be the rest of your life. 12:04 So then you get introduced to X of mind. 12:06 How many treatments? 12:07 Like, what are we talking about? 12:09 Because I feel like that's the thing is people are like, I want to different, and I wanna be better, but they'll say things like maybe in six years from now, 12:16 or you'll round robbing the medications for years. 12:20 But I'm like what if you could be a different person in What?
How ExoMind Treatment Works 12:24 That doesn't even sound possible. 12:27 So talk about the timing. 12:29 With the ExoMine treatments, I did back-to-back treatments twice a week for three weeks for a total of 12 treatments. 12:37 And the treatments are only 24 minutes. 12:40 They're very quick. 12:41 It's really no time at all. 12:43 I'm truly just stopping on my lunch break. 12:46 The other thing I want to say, because when people hear it's going to hurt and it is on the head, this is painless. 12:51 it's 24 minutes and you're literally laying comfortably. 12:56 So this is like your, like I would say to Asians, you are passive because I think the old machines have that stigma of like, 13:04 it is long, It's uncomfortable. 13:06 You know, You had to go through so much to get there. 13:09 so like understanding how much easier this, how doable this and that you see results so quickly. 13:16 It is absolutely life changing. 13:21 But I'm going to let you say that. 13:22 Sorry. 13:23 I mean, I just get excited. 13:26 That's the thing that people ask. 13:28 They're like, well, you know, i'm scared or whatever. 13:31 So, okay, so you do 12 treatments and then where are you? 13:35 So throughout the 12 treatment after my So forced treatments, that would be two times of coming in. 13:43 I felt a big difference and I actually started tapering off of my meds then. 13:49 And I was wondering that. 13:51 Because that's the other thing is they're like, I want off the med, but where do I do that at? 13:58 So it's nice that in here, we can help with that, right? 14:02 But when you're your own case manager, you are doing this over here and you doing that over there, which we have a lot of people like that where their 14:11 stack of medications are from different providers. 14:14 So, okay, so you're like, I'm failing movement. 14:18 I am feeling a little safer because you were probably deeply educated on what ExoMind was and what it does. 14:23 Right. 14:24 You're coming into it knowing a lot. 14:26 Do you start tapering down, which was probably helping things move along faster. 14:31 Yes. 14:31 And I, before I knew it was time to taper down, whenever I was actually getting more emotional, and I'm like, it's time I taper these bad boys down a little bit. 14:43 So I can kind of tell, I actually kept a journal of how I feeling while I going through my treatments. 14:49 so that I could see like, okay, I'm having, you know, less anxiety and I am sleeping better. 14:55 This is how many hours I've been sleeping and being able to log how I was feeling throughout the whole process so if something's not working or my medications 15:05 need to come back up or whatever the case is, then I can kind of see that and see where we're at. 15:09 That's amazing. 15:11 Gosh, no one talks about that. 15:13 We talk about journaling all the time because it's almost like even my own husband has been through a long thing. 15:19 It's like when you're on the other side of it. 15:22 So you had a three-year dark period, basically. 15:25 You're like, was I that bad? 15:27 It was almost you want to forget about it, bad pregnancy, you don't want think about anymore.
Tapering Off Medications and Early Recovery 15:31 So you can almost make like a summary statement, but it was actually three years of your life. 15:36 That's a very long time for a young person like you. 15:40 Well, for anybody, For anybody. 15:42 But okay. 15:42 So, you're noticing it. 15:44 You're tapering down. 15:45 Now you are through 12. Where are you? 15:48 They just had the Elastopram, I think, is a generic version of Xanax. 15:54 Lowest dose possible, which is like 0.25 milligrams. 15:58 as needed. 15:59 And there were a couple of times that I needed it for the next three months, but that's that lowest dose and it was just as-needed truly. 16:08 Didn't even finish that whole bottle. 16:09 Ended up having to like bring it to me disposed because it actually expired. 16:14 That's amazing. 16:14 I don't have anything. 16:16 It's crazy. 16:18 So you found an incredible therapist. 16:21 The person's been convicted, so that door is closed. 16:25 You're healed, you're healthy, your functioning. 16:29 When you talk downstairs to me about the way your brain used to work, it used be real fast, sharp, retained information. 16:36 Then all of a sudden, she's like, after the event, I couldn't retain anything. 16:41 Now, where's your So now I feel like I'm way quicker with what I have to say. 16:46 And I've so many accounts that I can like, I know everyone's children's name. 16:51 I now like what they like to eat, you know, their lunch order, like where they're at, where their located. 16:56 It's very easy for me to retain all of that and it wasn't previously. 17:01 Okay. 17:04 Whenever I was talking about trauma previously, I would yawn a lot. 17:08 And I don't know what's happening. 17:10 I swear to you I'm not tired. 17:15 Whenever i'm yawning, it's because a portion of my brain that's bringing up the trauma is trying to shut down and not remember it. 17:23 My whole body is like, oh my gosh, we have got to get oxygen to her brain. 17:26 Her brain's dying. 17:28 So I yaawn because I am inhaling oxygen against my brains. 17:32 That's wild. 17:33 Which is wild! 17:34 That is Wild. 17:35 And with ExoMind, instead of three years of therapy, even if it's bad therapy. 17:40 Trying to work through something. 17:42 It's hard to do that on your own. 17:44 Yeah. 17:45 Because your brain doesn't want you to DO it. 17:48 Yes. 17:48 You know? 17:49 And so it's really hard. 17:50 So with ExoMind, I've found that it almost like it builds, instead of like a two-lane road, it build that highway where I'm able to like, 17:58 It's like Atlanta. 17:59 Like a bunch of different little pathways. 18:02 Oh my God. 18:02 It is so funny you say that's what I think about. 18:04 When I look at even the Exomind the graphic where it is like creating new pathways in the prefrontal cortex, if you look someone's brain, 18:15 you'll see that front can get very gray. 18:18 It can be very like not dead, but dull. 18:21 I guess dull is the right word to say. 18:23 So it's almost like you got 100 construction crews and they're like, oh, we got to get a whole bunch more roads and we're going to do that.
Brain Healing, New Pathways, and Hope 18:31 And they are all going reconnect. 18:33 the brain can heal so powerfully from concussions, from trauma, so many things. 18:41 And one of the things that I think is really powerful about what we're doing specifically at Deeper Healing is so much of patients that we see have emotional things, 18:52 traumatic things but then we have the other side of house which is the chronic illness sufferer who's in the loop of, am I ever going to get my wife back? 19:02 which is a loop you were into. 19:04 Am I ever going to get my life back? 19:05 Am i ever gonna be able to have a normal relationship or just feel like myself? 19:10 Just feel myself. 19:12 Those, that has to be broken. 19:15 That loop has be bebroken. 19:16 Thats the thing I don't like about therapy. 19:18 The one thing that I dont like therapy is the way that we've trained therapists. 19:23 Now I'm glad you found a good therapist for what you're dealing with but so much of the training is you're telling me the story that you are telling yourself 19:32 and my job is to let you process through that. 19:34 Well, when you repeating a trauma three years in a row, right? 19:39 In a way, we're rewriting the store and you remember it. 19:44 So we can look at the clouds and talk about the cloud and study the clout and, you know, just keep talking about it, talking and talking, 19:51 or Can we blow the clouds away? 19:56 That's kind of what I feel like is happening when we push away the toxins from the body and calm the brain down or reroute the brand with new new roadways. 20:09 All of a sudden, it's like, I don't need energy to talk about that anymore. 20:14 I'm focused on my job, my relationships, and my future, goals, vision for my life. 20:23 Where is your vision going? 20:25 Now you have the bandwidth. 20:26 You have not just the actual brain capacity. 20:32 Like, it's increasing capacity. 20:34 That doesn't even sound normal, right? 20:35 That does even sounds normal. 20:37 But the thing that is, if you've ever looked at even people who've had brain surgery and have had part of their brain removed or have a brain injury, 20:48 Brains reroute, brains have the ability to keel way more, way, more than we understand. 20:58 And that's what's really cool about the magnetic therapy is it's literally culling that to come forward. 21:06 Then all of a sudden, when you feel it, and what I love too, I just love how fast it is. 21:11 Because when you get a quick win with anything, you know, so many of the people that come to deeper healing, their belief level shot. 21:18 They've been like, I've done to 50 doctors. 21:20 I'd been to hospitals and done all this stuff. 21:22 That's why we do the podcast. 21:23 We do podcast so people can say like oh, this person was sicker than me and they got better and, they were worse. 21:29 The body has an incredible capacity to heal, the brain even more so. 21:33 And that is not—there's not a lot of even concussions. 21:37 How many people have we had come to deeper healing with a severe concussion? 21:42 They were told, crawl into bed, turn off the screens, turned off lights, see in six months. 21:48 Some of these kids are 16 years old. 21:50 They're like, Mom, I'm not going to lay in a dark room for six month. 21:53 I am not gonna do it. 21:56 And this is real, this real. 21:58 What if the brain can be healed?
Closing Thoughts on Access and Healing 22:00 And then the good news, bad news is we don't accept insurance. 22:04 So you don' have to go through the three, five, ten years of failed medications with bad side effects to become eligible to get the treatment. 22:17 Becca, don't even get me going on that road, on the whole road because it's just such a tangent to go down. 22:22 I think we're going to do a whole entire podcast on just the health insurance and almost unraveling where it is at, but also we can't fix that. 22:33 So what do we do instead? 22:34 We just can focus on broken systems. 22:37 We focus in broken people, not that you were broken, anybody who's been in a severe trauma PTSD would probably self-assess them as broken, 22:47 like I'm not myself right now. 22:49 And we have seen there's so much hope and recovery. 22:55 The thing is when you don't have to wait long, all of a sudden your belief level comes up. 23:00 You're like, I am two weeks in and something's happening. 23:02 Well, then you feel excited. 23:04 You're like, oh my gosh, I'm like feeling it. 23:07 And then it's game over. 23:09 Then it came over because when your belief level starts going up, then you're, like I'll be there next week. 23:17 You know, on the path. 23:18 I know I am on that path and then everything just really gets fast. 23:21 So I want to encourage anybody out there. 23:24 This is one thing that you are not going to think of. 23:28 If I had a sexual assault, you aren't going think about a brain healing treatment. 23:34 That's not even something that's going to be on your radar. 23:36 You're going think about the police aspect of it, the physical aspect, you're gonna think the therapy aspect. 23:44 But what if there's something totally different that is fast and works and can shorten your runway dramatically? 23:52 Well, that's what this podcast is for. 23:54 My God, I hope so many people find this. 23:57 And it really changes their lives. 24:00 ExoMind is available nationwide. 24:02 Obviously, it's available at Deeper Healing. 24:03 We're in Charleston, South Carolina, and it is an incredibly powerful brain treatment. 24:08 Thank you, Becca. 24:16 Online we have loads of courses and a free toxin quiz. 24:19 Subscribe and please, please share this episode with someone who needs it. 24:24 It's always that one-on-one support that really gets people to find deeper healing. 24:35 Remember, this is educational content, not medical advice. 24:39 The information shared here should be discussed with your own personal healthcare provider. 24:44 If you're excited by listening to the medical experts or the personal recovery stories on here and you want to start your deeper healing journey, 24:51 go to deeperhealing.com and start the process.
