Mitochondria & Energy: Why the Body Breaks Down

Discover why organs and systems don't fail on their own — they fail first because cells lack the energy that mitochondria produce, and why toxins, heavy metals, and pathogens are the biggest threats to that energy. Understand why open drainage pathways (colon, liver, kidneys, lymphatics, lungs, skin, sinuses) must be working before deeper detox protocols can be effective. Learn about the MRX+ test, a simple, affordable blood panel that measures infection, inflammation, toxicity, malnutrition, and mitochondrial function — and is correlated with longevity.

Feeding Your Family When Everyone’s Everywhere: Back-to-School Meals Made Simple

Decide once, then stop deciding. The move this season is not more cooking, it is picking two options from each category, breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, prepping them on a Sunday or in five minutes the night before, and letting the week run on a decision you already made. Power foods do the heavy lifting quietly. A teaspoon of spirulina in the smoothie, a scoop of organ meat powder into the soup pot while it cooks, sprouts blended through the hummus rather than scattered over it. No new recipes, no texture change, and nobody at the table has to notice. Sweet potato toast earns its place over avocado toast. Slice it thin, run it through the toaster like bread, top it with ghee and sun butter and berries. Warming, naturally sweet enough that kids go for it, and it skips the bread that is not working for our kids right now.

What if the symptom you’ve been trying to manage... isn’t where your healing needs to begin? For pharmacist Amber, the biggest breakthrough in her rheumatoid arthritis journey didn’t come from adding another medication. It came from healing her gut. She noticed a dramatic difference in her pain, swelling, brain fog, and even her lab work. That experience completely changed how she approaches patient care today. In functional medicine, we know the gut influences far more than digestion. It plays a critical role in immune function, inflammation, nutrient absorption, and overall health—which is why it’s often one of the first places we investigate. If you’ve been told your symptoms are “just part of getting older” or you’ve been managing them without getting real answers, this episode is one you won’t want to miss. 🎧 Comment EPISODE59 to hear Amber’s story and learn why gut health is often a foundational step toward lasting wellness. #functionalmedicine #pharmtotable #womenshealth #rootcausehealing

What do Turkish rugs and your gut have in common? At first glance, a Turkish rug looks like one

What do Turkish rugs and your gut have in common? At first glance, a Turkish rug looks like one beautiful design. Look closer, and you’ll find thousands of individual threads woven together. Remove or weaken enough of those threads, and the entire pattern begins to change. Your microbiome works much the same way. It’s not just one type of bacteria. It’s an ecosystem where trillions of microbes work together to support digestion, immune function, metabolism, and more. That’s why we don’t focus on finding one “good” bacteria or one perfect supplement. We focus on understanding the ecosystem as a whole and creating the conditions that help it function well. Because better gut health isn’t built by one microbe. It’s built by supporting the entire community. Comment MICROBES if you’d like to learn more about how we evaluate gut health.

More fiber

More fiber. More water. More probiotics. And somehow… more bloated? 😮‍💨 Here’s what most people don’t realize: your gut isn’t just digestion. Your gut bacteria help make your mood and focus chemicals (serotonin, dopamine, GABA), influence your hormones and energy, and even produce key vitamins, while inflammation at the gut wall can be the hidden root behind all of it. Our Gut Performance Report maps your gut from one simple at-home sample, and when you order your kit, I walk you through exactly what it means and what to do next, in the right order. ✨ Check out the test here https://pharmtotable.life/programs/gut-performance/ #guthealth #bloating #constipation #SIBO #functionalmedicine womenshealth

These changes may contribute to symptoms like: ✔ Brain fog ✔ Bloating ✔ Poor sleep ✔ Mood swings ✔ Weight changes ✔ Digestive issues The good news? Your microbiome is something you can support through nutrition, lifestyle, and targeted interventions based on your unique needs. If you’re ready to stop chasing symptoms and start understanding what’s causing them, our PharmToTable Team is here to help. ✨ Comment DISCOVERY and we’ll set you up with a FREE 15-minute call with one of our providers. #functionalmedicine #pharmtotable #womenshealth #rootcausehealing
