Jen Rowell

Jen Rowell is an esthetician with 30 years behind the treatment table and a partner at Glow Skin & Body Care in San Mateo, California, a practice she and three partners have run for twenty-two years. Glow has been voted Best Facial and Waxing Salon in San Mateo more than once. Her work runs from the classic European facial to dermaplaning, peels, hydrodermabrasion, LED light therapy and gua sha lymphatic massage.

She is a hands-on practitioner in the most literal sense, and she will tell you her hands do more than any machine in the room. She is candid about what a treatment can and cannot do, and she would rather talk you through the two products you actually need than send you home with twelve. Thirty years in, she works on clients she met before their weddings, then through their pregnancies, and now on their daughters.
