Adrenals

The adrenals are a pair of small glands located above the kidneys that produce essential hormones involved in the body's stress response and regulation of various metabolic processes. The adrenal cortex produces hormones like cortisol, which helps the body respond to stress and regulates metabolism and immune function. The adrenal medulla produces adrenaline and noradrenaline, which are involved in the "fight-or-flight" response. Conditions such as adrenal insufficiency or adrenal gland disorders can impact hormone production and lead to various health issues.
