Opening on Glutathione and Immune Effects 0:00
When gluten is introduced into your body at a very fast pace intracellularly, in three days, forget three days, in four hours, we were able to reduce oxygen stress markers down to zero, which is MDA levels. Within three days, we saw increase of all the cytokines in the blood, IL-2, IL-12, TNF, alpha, interferon, gamma, to the point that it reduced the mycobacterium infection within one hour. And the study was not even for mycobacterium infection. So what I'm trying to say is that our job is to introduce the molecule to the body.
The body does. Gluten is not antibacterial. It's not antiviral. It's not anti anything. But all it does, it enhances your body's own immune system and it works better for us. This is Doctor Talks. Real talk from real doctors on the issues that matter to you most. Welcome to the Longevity Leaders podcast. I'm Dr. Isaac Jones. And what you're about to hear is part of a special series recorded at the Disrupt Clinical Event, where the world's top health medicine and longevity experts gather to share their latest breakthrough strategies and real world results.
Let's dive in to the conversation. So the question to me was, how can I get a peptide intracellularly? So we have a technology that I didn't do the technology. I just discovered the technology that actually worked to do that part.
Podcast Introduction and Event Context 1:24
But before that, I want to go over the hallmarks of aging because I think we discussed this morning already about the aging as to what the aging's are. And I think we talked about the harm of aging that we had to deal with it. I think you've seen this slide, if not a hundred times, probably a thousand times. Nothing's getting new about this one, so please ignore my thing. This is also something that you already know about this thing. But what they don't show you, and I forgot to put the slide on this time as well, is what precedes all these issues.
Did you know that part? See, that's the thing, people don't talk about it. For you to get stem cells based therapies or anti-inflammatory drugs for all these issues that you're dealing with, what precedes oxidative stress? That is gene lesions both from exogenous environmental factors and endogenous productions of oxidative stress. That's what leads to all these problems that we're dealing with, the hallmarks of aging. To deal with that issue, what we have to worry about is one thing, is can we reduce oxidative stress down?
Hallmarks of Aging and Oxidative Stress 2:34
And so for me, I want to find out, okay, what does oxidative stress do to us, right? And so this slide is very, very important to me because I want you to understand, when you're young, which we all are now today, when you have four H and E levels, which is oxidative stress market starts going up higher, It's the normal physiological responses. The body takes care of it. You go back to normal. The cell survives. There is no damage. Nothing happened to you. You're back to normal. This is when you're 20. This is what happens when you're young and you're invincible.
And then something happens. Your oxygen stress level doubles. When that doubles, there's a signaling mechanism that that's happening where there's an antioxidant induction that happens. Cell, everything goes back to normal. You survive. Now, the osteostress triples now. When that happens, guess what? This autophagy kicks in, senescent cells are kicking in because you need to help cells divide faster and get rid of it from your body as soon as possible. But for the very first time, the cells subsist.
but doesn't go back to normal. If you're a medical doctor, nurse practitioner, chiropractor, or other health expert that's stuck in a broken system, there's a better way. Right? Does it show any blood tests, saliva tests, urine tests, any scans? Probably not, because this is still a normal function. Everything is going back to normal. your oxygen stress quadruples. For the very first time, there's development of pathological states, maybe onset of some diseases, or maybe borderline some diseases. The issue over here is for the very first time, now you're dealing with some conditions. This is where all your testing kicks in for the very first time. We forget that the body's always trying to bring us back to homeostasis as fast as possible.
And the fifth level is basically it's like, if oxygen doesn't stop, it programs necrosis and cell death and we have to deal with some diseases. Most of the patients that we get is in stage four and five. That's what we deal with it all the time. Because that's when they say, I'm not feeling good, what should I do now? Well, that's OK. It's not the end of the world yet, but keep in mind, just because they feel good and everything is getting back to normal, to going back to all the way down to zero oxygen stress is not an easy path.
And so I want to show you two things that we do. Well, it's oxygen stress. I think we all know about it.
Antioxidant Buckets and Glutathione's Role 5:49
The cause of oxidative stress is medical dysfunctions, inflammation. Some of them is self-propelling because it's like oxidative stress causes chronic diseases, chronic diseases cause oxidative stress. ischemia reperficient injury. This we are doing a clinical trial on that one right now as well because when you open up the arteries and you do a stent therapy and things like that, when you open up all the blood vessels, there's a slew of oxygen stress increasing in the body and we are dealing with that issue as well.
But here's the thing. This is the problem, right? We need to balance it off. Now, typically, it's always like this. You have too much RSPCs and not enough antioxidant benefit. And so a body does three things. I put them in three different buckets. Bucket number one, you take all the products from outside sources like vitamin C, CoQ10, vitamin E. There's a bunch of products that claim to be antioxidants. That's bucket number one. Bucket number two, our body produces enzymes like catalase, superacid dismutase, SOD, glutine peroxidase, GPX.
These are the ends that the body produces to bring back the antioxidants back to normal. That's bucket number two. The bucket number three, our body produces glutathione. And by the way, the glutathione is the most abundant molecule produced in the human body. What I'm telling you is that bucket number three, which is glue with iron, is more powerful than bucket number one and two combined. And that's the thing I want people to understand that part, because we have so much products in the marketplace today, but at the same time, there's one thing that can subside oxo stress back to normal, that will be glutathione.
And that's what I want to address this issue because the real issue is for the very first time, and in my trials I've seen this plenty of time, to get this perfectly balanced is impossible, literally impossible. You want to have a little bit of oxygen stress, that's okay, but you cannot go negative stress. negative stress, your whole body's defenses goes down. And so we have seen this in my clinical practice for the very first time. Now I've used intravenous glutathione, like 10 grams of intravenous glutathione for some Parkinson's patients, and I don't see oxygen stress going down to zero or negative.
But then with our technology that we have developed, we have seen this go negative. And when that happens, your defenses goes down, you have side effects, you have issues, you have conditions that you're dealing with right now temporarily, but it's there. Headaches, nausea, stomach pains, diarrhea, extreme fatigue, rashes. So these are the things that you have to watch out for. I'm not going to go to the slides. If you want to take some pictures for these two slides, it's okay. But if I can point the slides to you, I'll give my email address to you guys.
The way the glutam plays a role in every single cellular function, I want to make sure that you have that part because Glutathione treatment is not a panacea. And you will understand that part once you start using some glutathione therapies is that it affects so many different mechanisms in your body, not primarily, but secondarily.
Glutathione Studies and Absorption Challenges 9:08
And that's when you start seeing the results. You start putting two and two together. The body is basically, all we're trying to do is bring the body back to homeostasis. And if we can do that effectively, As a physician, as a practitioner, as a holistic provider for our patients, that's all they're looking for. They don't even know what they want. Like when I was young, I did not know I needed an iPhone. But Steve Jobs thought it would be good for me. And I think he was right. The patients don't know what they want when they look for treatments.
It's our job to identify that the treatment options needs to come from bringing back the balance for these people. And so I want to go with three studies because I've very limited time right now. So the first study was, this was 1991. This was intravenous form of glutathione, and this was a landmark study because, I mean, back in the 90s, there were a lot of applications to FDA to approve glutathione as a drug. And so one of the studies was, this was 10 patients, not a huge study, but 10 patients infused two grams of intravenous glutathione, and they found zero glutathione in the red blood cells.
100% of the glutathione was in the plasma, And the plasma, I'm not sure if this thing is working. There's no screen over here. The red light doesn't reflect. If in the plasma, they saw there was the level of 17.5 to 823. So the plasma glutathione level went up. But they did not figure out that there was a 300-fold increase of glutathione in the urine. What happened was everything was getting filtered out by the kidneys, and it was done with the urine. What they did see was, if you read the whole study, that 90 minutes later they saw a rise of cysteine in the blood.
The half-life is only 14 minutes plus or minus 9 minutes. 5 to 15 minutes is already out of the system. But they saw a rise of cysteine in the blood an hour and a half later. So guess what? Even the intravenous glutathione was working, but not because the glutathione was getting absorbed, because cysteine was actually being reabsorbed and was used to produce its own glutathione. Similar study. We were making liposome form of glutathione. And I'm not sure you would know about liposome technology.
It's an older technology. It works very, very nice. And I used this technology to make my own glutathione back in 1999 for the first time. And what I found out, and I could not explain to you why I was not working for all my patients, it was such a good product, glutathione, but I was not getting results on every single human being. I said, that's not true. This is something that every human being needs. There has to be a result. And so this study was done in 2011 at University of Texas in Austin, and they took 26 kids, and they found the same exact thing.
Everybody that did glutathione, the body broke down into various amino acids. Amino acids was getting reabsorbed. Cysteine was being used to produce your own glutathione. So don't get me wrong. Every product that's in the market today, they work. They work. IVs work. Liposome works. Oil capsules will work. The inhaled glutathione will work. All these products work. But you know how they work? That's my thing, right? I don't know how they work because if you have a genetic defect where you cannot conjugate to make your own glutathione, you can take any products in the world and nothing will happen to you.
You cannot use it up.
Intracellular Delivery Trial and Results 12:40
And so that's the concern that I have. As a pharmacist, I want results. I want guarantees. When you write me a prescription, hey, make me this medication. It's going to work on our patients. I want guarantees that it's going to get absorbed. If it gets absorption, then there is a chance it's going to work for us. So, okay, am I going back or am I going forward? Okay, so this is, we have cyclodextrin technology with gluten combination. And we went to IRB for an approval for a human trial, which, of course, it took us a year plus to give us an IRB approval.
It's a one week process. And they said they would not approve my human trial because they want to do animal studies. I said, these are grass products. Anyways, long story short, we did a human trial. It was a three-day trial, three days. What can you expect in three days? I'll tell you, when gluten is introduced into your body at a very fast pace intracellularly, in three days, forget three days, in four hours, we are able to reduce oxy stress markers down to zero. which is MDA levels. Within three days, we saw increase of all the cytokines in the blood, IL-2, IL-12, alpha, interferon, gamma, to the point that it reduced the mycobacterium infection within one hour.
And the study was not even for mycobacterium infection. So what I'm trying to say is that our job is to introduce the molecule to the body. The body does. But all it does, it enhances your body's own immune system and it works better for us. As much as we know about your own body, we do not know a lot of it yet. And so, the only thing we can do at this point is introduce the molecule back to the human body and let the body deal with it, right? So you have NAC supplementations. We talked about oral capsules, liposomes.
These are all the different ways. Of course, the glural is a topical version. This is, I'm sorry, this is my product. We have eight patents right now, worldwide patents approved for this thing. It's an amazing thing that has let it into my hand. And I am not an inventor. I'm a trustee of this product. Please hold me accountable to make sure that this thing gets available to the whole world. And my job is to make sure that everybody gets to use this product. And hopefully everybody gets a chance to make it part of your life.
And we have numerous uses for different conditions. Again, I'll leave my email address over here. If you're all in for business over here, because I'm in business too, right? We all want to make money. What's the best way to make money? You give a treatment that guarantees results, and if not, there's 100% money back.
