Welcome to the Conquering Chronic Inflammation Summit. I&#8217;m your host, Dr. David Jockers. Today, we are talking with Jason Prall. We&#8217;re talking all about how the microbiome cross-talks with the mitochondria in the cells of our body and how that impacts our energy, our sleep, our level of inflammation, and our immune response. 
If you guys don&#8217;t know Jason Prall, he is a Health Educator, Practitioner, Author, and Filmmaker. In 2018, his independent research and experience as a practitioner-led him to create the Human Longevity Project, a nine-part film series that uncovers the true nature of chronic disease in our modern world. He&#8217;s currently working on his next film series, which explores ancient methods of healing the mind, body, and soul from indigenous cultures around the world. He&#8217;s recently released his new book, Beyond Longevity: A Proven Plan for Healing Faster, Feeling Better, and Thriving at Any Age. Jason Prall is a wealth of knowledge, guys. You are going to enjoy this interview. Without further ado, let&#8217;s go into it. 
Well, Jason Prall is always great to connect with. I know we&#8217;ve had conversations in the past, in particular about your book Beyond Longevity, which I always recommend to people. It&#8217;s a phenomenal book. Great book. you want to understand all the different connections in the body and how they relate to our health and aging process. I&#8217;m excited about this conversation, talking about the gut microbiome and its relationship and communication process with the mitochondria. Typically, when we&#8217;re learning biology, science, and physiology, we learn about these things in isolation. We learn about the microbiome and how important it is. We learn about the mitochondria and how they produce the energy within the cells. We realize that both of them are important. But again, we&#8217;re always thinking about them in isolation. I&#8217;m excited to talk about the communication process and how that relates to health and disease. Let&#8217;s just get started with an overview of the mitochondria and the microbiome.
