Early Symptoms and ER Visit 0:00
My name is Katherine and I'm a mother of four five year old a three year-old and seven month old twins and i'm gonna tell you my story it started in September of 2021 and had my first two children and my daughter was nine months old and started feeling dizzy all the time then one night I woke up and So one night I woke up and the left side of my body was numb and tingling. And it was my face, my left arm, and my hand. And I knew something was wrong, so I went to the emergency room. I explained my symptoms, I said I've been feeling dizzy for weeks and the left side of my body is numb and feels heavy and weak.
They did a full workup for a stroke, which was very scary, but soon came in and said everything looks normal.

And I said, this isn't normal. They sent me home, and I had my first panic attack. And it was overwhelming. So I still had the dizziness, the numbness, tingling, heaviness. The insomnia, I have suicidal ideation. And I was trying to figure out how I'm going to take care of my kids in this state. And then I started seeing doctors one after another. I saw a neurologist in. Several neurologists, I saw several doctors and some of the neurologist said, well, maybe it's multiple sclerosis, but they didn't know.
And they told me my symptoms were all over the place and that was not reassuring to hear. Then after seeing several doctor's, it just wasn't resonating with me down this conventional medicine. I had worked in conventional medicines for a long time and I went to deeper healing to see Dr.

Bowers Schmidt and everything just clicked and he said, I think it's mold. And we started testing the house and we found mold and it had colonized in my sinuses. The mycotoxins were releasing into my brain causing all of those neurological issues. And so after coming to Deeper Healing, I was given so much knowledge and awareness around so many different toxins and things that could be affecting my health and my family. that I didn't even know about. And I started ferociously doing anything and everything I could to protect my family.
We made sure that our home was a healthy home for our children. we moved out, we lived in an apartment for two years, and we started renovating a home built in 1920. did all wired internet.

We used magnesium oxide dragon board instead of drywall because that won't grow mold. we used hemp wool instead regular insulation because it won' grow a mold We really focused on our air quality we put in dehumidifiers to keep the humidity less than 50% at all times in the house so mold won''t grow. So we took into account EMF solutions and We put in the pH prescription, whole home, water filtration. We did it all. My children had eczema all over which cleared within weeks of moving out. They were sick all the time and they started getting better.
I started to getting treatment and I starting feeling better But it was just having that awareness that started triggering all these changes.

And then I just I started feeling a lot better. I looked at myself in the mirror and the color was back in my face. And it was like I was back to life. I found out I'm pregnant with twins. And that divine timing is not lost on me. Then I came to Dr. Bowerschmidt concerned, you know, how is my illness going to affect the twins? And then we got a plan together and we stopped detoxing and started nourishing my body and the twins. I came here almost every week I was pregnant and I ended up having a beautiful birth with two healthy a boy and a girl, Pamela and Preston, twins, and they're eight months old now and thriving.
So yes, so now I feel safe in our home. I Feel like our children, our family is safe and Thriving and it's a beautiful chaos all the time.
