Helping your child sleep more
Good sleep hygiene can help your child to sleep more. That means having a consistent bedtime routine that is the same every night and amongst all caregivers. Some examples include finishing their last meal, brushing teeth, bathing, reading or singing to them, and rocking or snuggling your child until they are drowsy. Ideally you should put them in their bed awake but drowsy, and leave the room to allow them to fall asleep on their own. White noise machines and blackout curtains may help, but children tend to become dependent upon them and it can make travel or sleepovers more difficult later in life. #babysleep #newborn #insomnia
