Well, in my case, it got rid of my mercury generation. The thing about C60 is that it is an antioxidant, but it’s very specialized. It only gets rid of superoxide, which is the most damaging oxidative radical in the body. Then it also gets rid of the hydroxyl ions, which are the second-most damaging oxidative radical in the body. That is all that it interacts with. It does not interact with any of the body’s signaling molecules. It is the only antioxidant that is going to actually increase athletic performance. But probably most people here are not into athletic performance. They are getting better. C60 can help there, too, because the superoxide and, to a certain extent, the hydroxide are found in the mitochondria, and C60 is actively uptaken and passes the gut barrier and the blood-brain barrier. I have taken it into the cells through endocytosis, and then I will take it into the mitochondria through endocytosis. It is one of the very few antioxidants that can actually get into the mitochondria. The little mitochondria are the energy powerhouses of the cell, and they produce ATP and things like pregnenolone, which is the precursor molecule for all the hormones. When your energy ATP levels rise and your pregnenolone, the precursor for hormones, rises, your hormones rise as well. That’s all that drives toward better health.

That makes sense. That is a powerful synergy. Anything we can do that will optimize and boost people’s performance and how their enzyme systems, how their body is handling nutrients, and how they are processing their energy, especially at the mitochondrial level inside each of the cells, is going to be a helpful partner. Thanks for letting us know about that. How is it that C60 destroys free radicals?

Ken Swartz, MS

Well, it is very interesting. Let me grab it here. It is behind me, and here is a little model here. Basically, it is a 60-carbon atom shaped exactly like a little soccer ball. But it is kind of unique in the world of chemistry because, on most things that I understand a little chemistry on, I have a positive charge and give an electron out to the environment. But C60 actually pulls hydrogen ions from the environment—positively charged hydrogen ions—and from inside itself. That is how it gets a positive charge. Let us say that when superoxide, which is oxygen with an extra electron, and oxygen radicals are free in oxygen, it is basically your body rusted; that is what got your body rusting. You can imagine something like oxygen with an extra electron. Well, that is going to cause super rust; it has a negative charge. It is attracted to the C60, which has a positive charge. C60 will just steal the electron of that superoxide, turn it back into oxygen, and then the electrons get into one of those hydrogen ions, which turns it into hydrogen gas, and it resets itself again and again, hundreds of times a second, if necessary. You can have hundreds of thousands. 

These guys will get bouncing around inside your mitochondria, neutralizing that superoxide, which is really deadly and damaging, especially when it gets out of the mitochondria into the general cell. You are going to oxidize it, and it is going to cause cross-linking, so they do not work. It can punch holes in your cell membrane; things can leak out or come in that should not; and, of course, it can destroy RNA and DNA, the blueprint of your cells. Any of that is bad. If you have lots of C60 in there, it protects it. Also, your body usually provides sodium catalase and, to a certain extent, glutathione to deal with these oxidative radicals. But as we get older, those cells, production of antioxidants goes down. The mitochondria have to tune down their energy. They are not making as much ATP, they are not making as much proline, and they are not making as many precursors for RNA and DNA synthesis. That is one of the problems with aging. When you take C60, it replaces the missing sodium catalase. Now your cells and mitochondria can function the way they used to when you were younger.

Absolutely. When we were younger, things probably worked better and more easily. Then, as we age, that may or may not change. We are not doomed. But we need to be savvy about how we support ourselves. If someone is struggling with their blood sugar control, if they have glycemic regulation issues, pre-diabetes, type 2 diabetes, or other forms of blood sugar problems, they may need to really have a more robust toolbox to call upon. Then how can C60 help with blood sugar issues?

One of the things is that once you are, yes, it really helps with gut inflammation. Because it is taken internally, it goes in there, and it produces more stem cells. Your gut turns over every day. If you have more stem cells, then your gut can turn over without having gaps and holes in it. That is why it is leaking out. Also, a healthy gut secretes certain enzymes and chemicals, which make healthy bacteria good bacteria. You get another layer of bacteria in your intestine. Also, one thing most people do not know is that the small intestine is actually a hormone-producing organ and is key to blood sugar regulation. They did not know that until a few years ago. When you strengthen that, everything else in the body strengthens. That is super critical because a healthy gut is really the key to health.

It is the key to health. I agree with you. Part of that key, then, is how your gut is responding to the things that we eat, the things that we drink, our sleep, and all that goodness. If we can help it deal with the free radicals, that is going to be a win. Let us look at another aspect of this, because this is often a very common issue for people who have diabetes, which is: how does C60 help with brain fog and low energy?

Ken Swartz, MS

Well, the thing is, C60, of course, is getting rid of the superoxide and hydroxyl ions, which are bad everywhere, but it also restarts the mitochondria. In the mitochondria, the nerve cells in the brain have the most mitochondria of any tissue type in the body. It’s really hundreds of them. Because the brain is 2% of the body’s mass but uses up 20% of the energy. It is just packed full of mitochondria. In my stories, I used C60 in a research study on a MOXY fusion reactor, and my dry drusen macular degeneration went completely away. Then I made it for my friend Gary Rodrigues. He was our electrical engineer. By the way, we call it Purple Power because C60 is in MCT oil. I made it in MCT coconut oil, and MCT stands for medium-chain triglycerides. If you have glucose processing issues, medium-chain triglycerides can be turned into ketones by your liver very quickly. Now your body has flexible fuel in your cells. In fact, even if you do not have C60, you should be taking MCT oil because it is way better than eating a candy bar. Or if you crash because your cells can pull those ketones right out of the blood, they do not bypass the whole glucose processing and uptake system, and so it is flex fuel for your cells, and you do not get that crash that you get, which can really damage cells.

That is why I put in MCT. Here is why my macular degeneration completely went away and his type 2 diabetes went subclinical, and so he got off the medicine, but you are never going to have to do that, and that is one thing I want to say too. C60 is not the magic pill; you are going to have to eat right. You are going to have to exercise. You are going to have to stay away from toxins like the horrible glyphosate in our grains, which kills the good bacteria in your intestines and just jacks them up. I mean, if you have intestinal problems, getting rid of the glyphosate in your diet is probably one of the best things you can do for better digestion. Of course, that leads to better health everywhere. But with the brain cells having all those mitochondria, when those mitochondria get back, they produce ATP, which is the energy molecule for the cell. Now your brain’s nerve cells have the energy they need to function, and that is what makes the brain fog go away.

It totally makes sense. It is supported by the root cause issue, addresses it, gives the body the nutrients it needs in a digestible functional form, and knows what to do with that. It is just so interesting. In today’s world, we just have so much more exposure to environmental toxins. It is crazy. There are so many more new chemicals. Realistically, if a chemical was developed, say, five years ago and then deemed safe, it has not had a 50-year study. Tell me if you agree, Ken. I feel we are all in the midst of a giant experiment whose outcome is unknown.

Ken Swartz, MS

Yes, and it is going badly, actually. You can see how, yes, there are 40,000, 60,000, whatever it is, industrial chemicals. Nobody knows what they actually do. I mean, we have those estrogen imitators. We got the forever chemicals, which began breaking down. I mean, it is just a cornucopia of it. I mean, and it is not, I mean, you could do your best, but one of the things is C60, which they did in the Sprague-Dawley study. Part of that study where they gave rats carbon tetrachloride, which is carbon with four chlorines. It is one of the most nasty chemicals ever. C60 thereafter completely prevented damage. C60 can get there in your liver and protect against a lot of the damage because it’s not the chemicals that are actually causing the damage. As those chemicals break down, they produce these really hot oxidative radicals, and those oxidative radicals go out and help tear it up. Of course, the ideal thing we would do is prevent those chemicals from getting into you in the first place. When you go to the grocery store, read the labels, and if you cannot pronounce the word, you should not be eating the product.

I agree. I have been telling my patients that for decades. If you cannot pronounce it, you cannot spell it. You do not know what it is. It is probably not actually a food. What kind of health benefits can people who take C60 look forward to if this is something that is going to be a great match for them?

Ken Swartz, MS

Well, the first thing you notice is mental clarity. The brain fog goes away, you have more energy, and that is the mitochondria ramping up, making more ATP, and all that. Then there are some other things that happen, maybe in the next two or three weeks. One of those is that as the inflammation levels drop, dopamine production goes up, and that is when people do not know if they have, let us say, acute inflammation. That’s when you sprain your ankle. It swells up, and it hurts. It is all that one thing that is also going on that you do not really know: there is a whole pathway in your body that shuts down dopamine production, and dopamine is the motivation molecule. That is the molecule that gets you out of bed in the morning. They get you up and doing things. Of course, if you have a damaged ankle or something else, the body does not want you doing things and causing more damage. It is part of the whole healing process to suppress dopamine, and that is great. A natural problem is that a lot of people have chronic inflammation. It is in the gut; it is in the joints; wherever it is in the brain, wherever it is, chronic inflammation also shuts down dopamine production. That is why you just kind of sit around the couch. You just do not have the energy to get out of it and do something. That is dopamine suppression. When you take C60, the inflammation levels go down and dopamine production goes up, and that is what people notice. With C60, you get the insane urge to go clean the house or the garage or go out and start doing things, maybe exercise routines or other hobbies or things you just did when you were healthier. That is part of the return of dopamine production.

That makes sense because one of the side effects that I noticed in so many people who have diabetes and other kinds of glycemic control issues is that they often have this profound sense of fatigue. It gets in the way of, say, cooking healthy food and making those consistent choices that get in the way of exercise. It gets in the way of getting really deep restorative sleep and all the other things that matter when we talk about blood sugar control. Then, how long is it? I heard you say a few weeks. I want to be sure I am clear about this. How long does it take before someone will typically notice the benefits of C60?

Ken Swartz, MS

Well, probably within two weeks, you will get rid of the brain fog and gain mental clarity. Then, maybe after about a month, you start getting the dopamine uptake. You are starting to see that. But then there are things that go on longer because one of the things that C60 prevents, of course, is oxidative damage. Now your cells can actually make proteins that do not get damaged. Because C60s hang out in the ribosomes, which is where proteins are manufactured. Now you are getting proteins that are being manufactured; they are not being damaged. They can go wherever they need to go and do the job. But also, we have these things called vesicles, and they are really the garbage cans in the cells. When your body is overwhelmed, it just kind of stuffs everything in these vesicles because it does not have energy. Once you start getting enough ATP, the body starts processing those vesicles, pulling out the nutrients that are useful, and then dumping the rest in the bloodstream. The cells start cleaning themselves up right into the garbage out in the proteins, fixing up your house, your engine, or your car. Everything works better, and that takes two, three, or four months. It takes a while. Those are the other benefits.

It took me seven months to complete it. I started taking C60 for the research reactor project, and seven months later I went and doctored my drusen or dry macular degeneration. Again, for Gary, it was a year, and we have had people with T3 and T4 CCAT test levels go up. because what C60 also does is wipe out senescent cells. These are zombie cells. Their DNA is damaged. They cannot really reproduce, but they are hanging around, and usually they go into this thing called the fermentation mode, where they are fermenting. Just like the yeast in there. They are putting in all kinds of toxins to poison the cells around them. They are using a bunch of energy because fermentation is 1.20 times as efficient as the Krebs cycle, which burns oxygen. Well, C60 goes in there, and those cells will uptake the C60 and restart the mitochondria. The mitochondria will send so few messages that the damaged nuclear DNA will not get the right message back, and the mitochondria will actually cause apoptosis, which is programmed cell death.

Your body gets cleaned out of these over time. Your body gets cleaned out of these zombie cells, which then stimulate stem cell production, which are little baby cells that come in and replace the now-missing senescent cells. People who have returned T3 and T4 functions have Hashimoto’s zero production; they are off half their medicines, then two-thirds of their medicines. But that took two years—two and a half years. That is the slow rebuilding of your body because your body rebuilds itself once every seven years. If you can protect your body from oxidative damage, then your body can rebuild itself correctly. That is the long-term benefit of C64 help.

That is great to know. Thank you so much for sharing that. Let us look at this through a different lens. What is the most common side effect of taking C-60?

Ken Swartz, MS

The first thing you see when you first take it, especially if you have a metal, mercury among all the fillings, which you should not have anyway. But you may notice a little bit of a metallic taste because C60 actually turns mercury hydroxide into mercury oxide, which your body can grab, and also just dislodges inorganic mercury, pantaleon, and a few other plus two metals. It flushes out those metals, and then the first thing you notice is increased metal, better clarity, and more energy than all those other things that I said went along, and those are kind of the first things you notice. But one of the other things is that because the mitochondria make pregnenolone, you are going to get an increase in your hormones. You get better sleep, you are going to get more melatonin on your pineal gland, you will get more, you are going to get more human growth hormone, and a dozen other master molecules from your pituitary hypothalamus complex, more T3 and T4. Also, in your adrenals, you get more androgens. An increase in libido is a side effect of C60, and they will also make mineral oil and glucocorticoids, which help balance the blood sugar levels, which is probably part of the reason why Gary got rid of his type 2 diabetes in two days. But also one thing: this is a counter indication that I need to put in there because the adrenals also make cortical mineralocorticoids, which kind of regulate your blood thickness. If you are taking C60 and you are on a blood thinner, you need to consult with your doctor because the underlying condition making your blood thick could go away. Now your blood is more normal. If you are taking blood thinners now, you are stupid. You need to tie. If you are on a blood thinner, you need to talk to your doctor before you use C60. Just explain that to him. Also, he can call us with the company. I can connect with you directly. I am always happy to talk to doctors and explain C60 to them if they have any questions.

That is good to know. That is great. But, when folks write these things down, take notes, and just be aware, write different things, interact, and if it helps you to have better blood flow, that is great. But if you are taking medication, please do not blow this off. Listen to what Ken just told you. This is an important distinction to note. Thank you for bringing that out. Let us talk about some other things. When we talk about hormonal health and how C60 interacts with the body, what are some things that would be supportive, let us say, for men as they age, and what would be supportive for women as they age?

Ken Swartz, MS

What is a typical thing for women? We have had similar reports, guys. So a little bit ago, we had a guy who was seventy years old. He has gone to the doctor. He had 350 on testosterone, which is kind of low. The doctor gives him cream. He’s off to a low of seven hundred. Then he started taking our product. He goes into his biannual testing, and he is now 1200, which is kind of high for testosterone at his age. so the doctor takes him off the creams. That is one of the things. Also, libido increased. Libido is a common side effect for both men and women because it raises all the hormone levels. Everything goes up all over the place. It was when you were younger, and that is really what C60 does. C60 really does not treat, prevent, or cure any disease. What it does is lift the oxidative burden your cells are under. The cells could function the way that they used to. That is the key thing about C60. But it does not; it will not replace your nutrients, your supplements, or your medicines for other things. It has a very specific job, which is important. If you think of the car, it is the coolant in your car. You have got to have the coolant to make everything run, but you are still going to have the gasoline. You still have to have good oil and all those other things to make everything run. It is one tool in a toolkit for good help, but it is only one tool. You need all the rest of those things as well.

Well said. I appreciate that. Sometimes people decide that there is going to be one magic bullet. No, this is a fabulous tool, and you still have to do the rest of the thing. Thank you for making that really clear. When consumers are out there shopping and they are looking for C60, they are looking for a brand. What do they need to be on the lookout for?

Ken Swartz, MS

There are three things. We are not the only company that really has these three things that you want to look for. First, you want to look for sublimated C60, and usually sublimated comes out at 99.99% or 99.98%. It is because of the nature of sublimation. If you were sleeping in chemistry class back in high school, sublimation is the cousin of evaporation. It is when a solid turns into a gas and then back into a solid. They take C60 and the production out, as they put it, in the summer. Later, the C60 turns into a gas and goes to the other side, where it condenses. That is why you get super pure C60 because a lot of C60 products out there use solvent-purified C60, and the solvent they use is methyl benzene, a known carcinogen. You kind of want to keep toxins like methyl benzene out of your diet in the first place. That is why you are taking C60 or anything else. You always want to look for a sublimated C60. We are not the only ones that put out sublimated C60, but we are in the minority in that case.

The other thing you want is also healthy oils, because, look, one of the problems that you probably heard from other speakers is that PUFAs, or polyunsaturated fatty acids, are basically seed oils. They are really high in omega-6 because of bad inflammation. Our bodies should be doing 1 to 1 with the omega-3 and omega-6 lists, and most people have 20 to 1 or 50 to 1 on the omega-6 side, which causes massive inflammation, which is a huge problem. So you really have to watch what you do. Basically, you have to give up fried foods unless you buy yourself lard or something. You have got to step up to that. That is one of the issues. We put it in healthy oils. We have it in olive oil, which is what the scientists originally used for it because olive oil is part of the Mediterranean diet. Everybody knows about it, including us. The problem was that I had a sensitive digestive system. If I took an ounce of olive oil, I might have to go to the bathroom, and then my C60 would not work. I put it in avocado oil, which is super easy to digest. The other oil I put in is MCT coconut oil, because that is, of course, for diabetics or anybody with glucose processing issues. Those MCTs, or medium-chain triglycerides, can be turned into ketones, which are a flex fuel for your body. If you have a diabetic problem, you should be taking MCT. We also now have sugary and sugar-free gummies, which is fantastic.

Yes. Because C60 is water-soluble, it usually just turns gooey when you are, but finally we figured it out. The final thing you want to look into is: do all of our products have a QR code on the end on the side of them, and you can scan in there and see that we really do have organic olive oil, organic avocado oil, or MCT oil? That is in there. We have the certificate of analysis, but we also send it to third-party testing after we are finished. They tested for purity, microbiology, and concentration. You just go in there so you know that your product is safe and effective because we just had so many people who, when the C60 market was small, made pretty money, and pretty much everybody made a quality product for their customers because they and their families were using it. But then C60 became popular, and just like in the CBD business, all these fly-by-nighters came in with products with no C60 in them. They have products with low concentrations of C60 or products with low-quality C60. A lot of people buy the stuff from China for 99.9% or 99.5%. Well, another point: 1% or 2.5%. Well, that is methyl benzene. We do not want to have that in your diet.

Those are really the three things sublimated in C60: 99.9% healthy oil, avocado oil, olive oil, MCT oil, and coconut oil. Avoiding the seed oils, then finally, something safe. It is safe and effective. those, and we are not the only company out there that does this, by the way. But those are the three things you should be looking for.

Okay, great. Thank you for that checklist. That is really helpful. People can be savvy consumers now. In addition to that, I am well aware that in the world of supplements, quality and quality control are something that some companies are great at and some do not even bother with. Often, price is a factor because you do have to pay for these lab tests and the companies that do the quality assurance, analysis, and testing for purity. Why does the C60 cost so much?

Ken Swartz, MS

Well, actually, high-purity sublimated C60 costs way more than gold, by the way, and we are working on a method to make it cheaper. But that is years away. That is basically why C60 works really well. It’s not more expensive than CBD; it’s a lot more expensive than regular pharmaceuticals, but it’s still pricey. But what is the value of your health? There are other C60 products out there that cost less. Well, of course, the government knows they do not have enough C60 alone. If you are looking for a C60 producer, whether it is us or somebody else, if it is not up to a certain cost level, it is probably just because there is a reason for that, because these 60 are more valuable by weight than gold. You have to go through a whole bunch of manufacturing processes to produce the things. There is nothing really water-soluble—C60 strips or another thing—because the only type of C60 that works is C60 that is dissolved in oil. Particles of C60 do not work right. In oil products, if you look at our product or anybody else’s, you can see that it’s purple and that it’s MCT oil. It is clear that there are people selling stuff out there that is as black as ink. What they are doing is just selling you activated charcoal. In the wick of your candle, there is about 0.25% C60 in that activated charcoal; there is maybe 0.1%. C60, not 99.99%. Oh, yes, it is. But you are not getting any effective amount of it. It is so crazy in the CBD business. You just have to be buyer beware and do your research.

That is true for so many things. I will tell you. But people are always looking for shortcuts and cheats, and they are consumers of suffering. We always want to bring quality forward and make sure people are well-informed so they know what is going on behind the scenes and can make discerning, intelligent choices for their health.

Here we are, at the Reversing Type 2 Diabetes Summit. We all know that people with diabetes will definitely have issues with their immune systems and their proper function. Unfortunately, because of the changes that go on with glycation, the production of advanced glycation end products, the damage from free radicals, and the lack of antioxidants that many people with diabetes have, C60 is not a helpful partner for them. I wanted you to specifically tell us what it can do that might be helpful for promoting a balanced, effective immune system.

Ken Swartz, MS

Well, one of the things that I think is key is that we found that, first of all, C60 is going to get into all your cells, so it is in your immune cells. Now that the mitochondria are working in your immune cells, they are being optimized. But the other thing is that C60 really increases stem cell lines. I mentioned before that a guy goes off about all this. We have some other seventy-year-olds out on the front range where we live in Colorado and lots of stem cell treatment centers. Guy’s been getting his regular stem cell treatment. He goes in; I have it here somewhere, and he has an appointment to receive stem cell therapy. He is 71 years old. After surgery, the stem cells were counted, and the sample was discovered. I had over 73 million cells. The two doctors processed, and the cells came rushing in. Remember them saying I had one of the highest counts they had ever seen, especially for my age? I wondered what I was doing to get so high. Such a high stem cell count. Of course, when I told them C60 Purple Power.

Well, besides that little pitch, the key thing is that your stem cells are baby cells. They are standing there. When your immune system gets a challenge, it sends out a message and says, We need more TV, whatever type of immune cells, macrophages, and then those stem cells can be converted into those immune cells very rapidly. It is like you have a standing army just sitting there, privates, and then when the call goes out, they can all become whatever specialty they need to help your immune system. We get a lot of reports, especially from doctors who are older than 60. We are preoperative and postoperative because there are so many stem cells around. The healing is really fast. So when it’s healing from a surgical operation or healing from damage caused by diabetes type 2, it’s the same thing. It just gives you this huge army of stem cells that can be converted into immune cells to do whatever job it is. Actually, in one of the scientific studies of human mast cells in vitro in the test tube, they found that C60 moderated the release of histamines, which are kind of what causes inflammation and allergies. They just made them work better. That was taken to animal studies, where they found that 60 percent of the cytoplasm stopped.

That is a helpful thing to know because a lot of people struggle with mass L activation syndrome. People are getting a lot more good information about that reality with histamine problems.

Ken Swartz, MS

Yes. C60 will moderate the release of the histamines from the mast cells, and so everything just runs better; your immune system is more functional; everything runs better. The other thing is, of course, that when your pregnenolone levels rise, one of the things that happens is a thing called a peg needle, which usually happens in the adrenals. What’s happening is that most people today look at us and say, We all used to live on the farm; every one of us, 99% of us out there, came from farmers. It does not matter where you come from. We were just farmers. We were out there. Life was a whole lot simpler and calmer. Today, people are super stressed. What happens is that it uses up the pregnenolone in your adrenals too, which goes to make cortisol or other stress hormones, and there is none left over for the androgens, the mineral corticoids, or the glucocorticoids. That is one of the big problems. You take C60, and you get plenty of pregnenolone, so now you can still make cortisol, but you have some left over for the rest of these hormones that are super key, and that is another way that really helps with diabetes and other sorts of disease conditions.

Cool, super cool. As we talk about immune function and what all this lipid C60 is providing, I know people will be thinking, How does this compare to vitamin C?

Ken Swartz, MS

Well, first off, it is totally different. Vitamin C is not only an antioxidant; it is also a nutrient and super critical for a lot of things. It is a building block. It is the gasoline in your car, and you still have to take your vitamin C, as it is supercritical and people need it. But C60 is more of a radiator fluid. It gets rid of those oxidative radicals and lifts them, so your chemistry can work. C60, vitamin C, will not take care of the superoxide, and vitamin C will not take care of the hydroxyl ion. C60 takes care of those. The vitamin C you have can basically go where it needs to go because if the machine is not running, you are not going to be able to use that vitamin C just to make everything work better. It is not—yes, it is—I mean, do not stop taking your vitamin C. I mean, all people also say, People should be taking vitamin D and vitamin K. They do not get enough of that in the American diet. Another thing is magnesium. People do not get enough magnesium.

Then, finally, the last are iodine and micronutrients. I mean, you probably have other speakers who talk a lot about that. But that is just the problem: the American diet stinks because our food is our food, and our croplands have been mined there with all these hyper-fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides. The essential nutrients that used to be in the ground—I mean, really, if you were to go out and you had a choice, go out and buy your vegetables from the Amish. They would still do it. They still do organic farming, agriculture, or Mennonites. That is all they do. They are really good at it. If you can get that or a local farmer so that you can get organic food, that is why people always tell you to get organic food because it has those minerals and those nutrients. A lot of them are using heritage plants. We have plants now that look wonderful on the grocery store shelves, but they just do not have the nutrients that our grandparents made.

Yes. You went to buy that apple? No flavor. This is why organic food is so much better. I mean, in today’s world of food insecurity, a lot of people know you can adopt a farmer if you buy a farm share. Then, as the crops come in, they are delivered to your house or you go pick them up, depending on how they are. The same way they can get a cow share, they can get raw milk if they go that route for you. But so, I mean, that is just something I have. I mean, we have lots around here. We have lots of farmers who do that. I could go down to the farmer’s market and get all that good stuff. I do not have to buy it. The taste will stop at the supermarket, which is, when they have these sprays they put on them, they make a beautiful, real vegetable, but it is good.

I love that you said that when talking about the heirloom varieties and all. I grew up in Philadelphia, and I remember people coming in from the Amish country west of the city of Philadelphia. They come into Philadelphia, where I grew up, and I remember the horses and buggies, and they had come in with the freshly churned butter and the milk and eggs and the vegetables and all. That was how I ate growing up. I am so grateful. I say, Lucky me, because we have that kind of food access. I am sad that so many people do not have access to quality food very readily. It has actually become hard in a way that is just very strange. We are talking about some pretty fundamental things here around nutrition and nutrient density. Seafood is a helpful partner; just boost whatever you have got going on now.

The thing is, I mean, good health takes a lot of effort, and more effort as you get older. A lot of that is research. I mean, now that the good foods, if the Amish are still out there, maybe they are not in your supermarket, but there are places you can find them. I mean, the whole situation, all the chemicals, the food and all, the electromagnetic radiation, which I am sure other people have talked about, and all these are just so many toxins. C60 helps you deal with a lot of them. I mean, you still work really hard to get them out of your way. But C60 is also, if you take some, a hangover cure. You take it before drinking or after drinking, and you do not wake up with a hangover. It does have some moral hazard there. I do not encourage excessive drinking that leads to hangovers. But it is still there as well. It is an adventure. 

Most of us, when we were growing up, had to listen to television. I mean, when I was growing up, my mom fed us margarine. We had those retarded, horrible cereals that they got at the supermarket. We did not have all the healthy foods growing up. It’s just that now we know that stuff. We did not know about margarine. It was just that it was advertised very well. Well, they used to advertise, and three out of four doctors like to smell pills. It is just that you cannot always believe that you are the authorities or the television. You have got to think for yourself and make sure you get your best second opinion. The doctor can tell you something. Go out and do your own research, because just go on. Sometimes we just go to another standard doctor, which is not going to do it. You have to go out and research it, think about it, and then make those decisions. Because when you make the decision, you kind of buy into it, which gives you motivation to actually fulfill it. If you just do what other people tell you, there is no way you are going to buy it. You’ve got to have skin in the game. To take for better health, making your own health decisions is a key part of that.

Absolutely. We all have to take personal responsibility for our health outcomes, be our own advocates, and make sure we understand what is going on. If we are not comfortable or we are not clear, get to a point where you can work with your practitioner. If that is true, that is reasonable to expect. I have two more questions for you before we wrap up our session here. I am enjoying very much hearing your information in the exchange and just getting more detailed behind the scenes of what goes on with C60. How much C60 should somebody take? What are your recommendations?

Ken Swartz, MS

We actually have a dose calculator, but for most people that are midway and maybe in their thirties, forties, or fifties, it is a teaspoon a day. For me, I am a little bit heavier and also have gray here. It is basically a tablespoon. If you have gray hair and are bigger, it is a tablespoon a day. If you are a little bit younger and lighter, it is a teaspoon a day. Somewhere between a teaspoon and a tablespoon. You really do not need to take more than that because, at some point, they have done things where they gave in one gram per kilogram of body weight, which is 10,000 times that dose. There is still no toxicity, which you were not getting anywhere. Somewhere between a teaspoon and a tablespoon, and that is all you need. Take it in the morning because it does kind of wrap everything up.

It’s a little bit of coffee. A lot of people have it in the MCT oil that they put in their coffee or in their keto coffee. You can put it right in your coffee in the morning to get you going. I personally do intermittent fasting, by the way, and I really encourage people to explore the concept of intermittent fasting because I had excessive weight and tried everything: no sugar, no flour, no milk, and all these other things—I could never keep my weight down; it would just stick there. But when I did, intermittent fasting punched through, and for a while, there I was. I was on my way to high school. Now I am into too many restaurant excursions and other things. I am a little bit higher than that, but I go back down. But I mean, I am in that range, which is so much better than where I was before. I really attribute this to intermittent fasting. That is the only thing that I found that worked for me for weight control.

Thanks for bringing that up. We do have speakers; a number of them are here at this summit, talking about intermittent fasting and different aspects. It is one of those things where we are looking for blood sugar control to improve and reversing type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes to make a difference on the metabolic front for some of us. That is going to be the answer. Everybody has to figure out the mix that makes sense for them. But it’s part of our Shulkin. In the first human study, it was found that C60 applied topically got rid of lines and wrinkles in Japanese women and a whole bunch of others. But a lot of the studies are actually animal studies, so we cannot post those. But at whatisc60.org, they have the animal studies, the human studies, the animal studies, and little synopses. You do not have to read the paper if you do not want to; it will tell you what it is. 

There are some industry hitches because one thing dissolves. C60 is the only C60 work article suspended in whatever or taken straight. They have no health benefits. You have got to know the type of C60 to take, and there are a few industry hit pieces, though they cannot go. They really are afraid of C60, but the cancer they can actually see in C60 is that they have taken a lot of patents out of the tens of millions of dollars worth of C60 as an HCL replacer. A lot of times, when you read your medicine, there is an HCL on it that allows it to get through the digestive system, or they found that C60 can do the same thing. Most of your pharmaceuticals in the future are going to have C60 in them instead of HCL. But we are kind of in a special place.
