Xavier Townsend, I play receiver at Purdue University. >> When is the first time you met Dr. Hunt and when did you start working with him? >> Yeah, I met him in middle school, but I didn't get start working with him until high school when I got introduced to the New Fit and what I can do. Just really trying trying to find a way to get back to playing football after an injury as fast as possible. >> What was Dr. Hunt's reputation in Tampa,
Injuries and Recovery History 0:31
Florida when you first met him? >> If you want to get back fast, you go to Dr. Hunt. >> What type of injuries has Dr. Hunt helped you with? >> So in high school I had a lot of ankle injuries. That's pretty much it like high school wise is a lot of ankle ankles getting back from that. And then as college as I got into college had a good amount of hamstring deals ending with the hamstring rupture. >> So the distal hamstring injury you had at Iowa State wasn't just a normal hamstring strain. What type of injury was it?
>> So it was a grade four and a distal hamstring tear. Very uncommon. And it was I was running a route and I

planted in the whole tendon just it popped there. >> So you stayed with your team doctor for treatment. What was the treatment and what did you do immediately afterwards? >> So I had to get surgery on and as soon as the surgery was over I called up Dr. Hunt and said how soon can I come in? >> Immediately after the treatment, what was different and how did you feel? >> Yeah, so after after the treatment well when when I came in there was there was no movement with the with the hamstring and I really couldn't move move it any, but got the treatment and got the muscle going. So it would being able for the muscle to get moving again allowed for the blood

flow to get going and it created more healing and sped up some of the recovery time. >> So, you were at Iowa State when this happened. You got on a plane and made a few flights to Kentucky for the treatment. And now you're at Purdue University and it's an 8-hour round trip to get here and back. What's so special about Dr. Hunt's treatment that makes it worth such a long trip? >> Yeah, I think for me it's if you're if you're invested in your craft and the sport you're playing and you want to be on the field as much as possible, coming back from an injury I just think, you know, this is the best route to go.
It it it's it's proven. It's it's proven multiple times from multiple athletes. And so, I'm willing to make that drive or make that flight, whatever the cost may be, to get here to to get the treatment so that I can stay on the field and play healthy and play injury-free.
How Dr. Hunt Compares to Other Treatments 2:57
>> You've been at some big-time college football programs, met their surgeons, and been in their training rooms. How do those surgeons and treatments compare to Dr. Hunt? >> Yeah, you're you're regular treatments and modalities and everything that sort, but nothing can really get you back to feeling like yourself in the in a shortened time length like Dr. Hunt can do here. So, I think that's that's the biggest thing, you know, is getting back to your 100% self, feeling like yourself again, and playing confident in a short time that if you want that to be your route back, then I feel like coming to Dr. Hunt is the way to go.
