Adrenal Glands

The adrenal glands are small, triangular-shaped glands located on top of each kidney. They produce hormones such as cortisol, aldosterone, and adrenaline, which play essential roles in regulating metabolism, blood pressure, immune response, and the body's stress response. Conditions like adrenal insufficiency or Cushing's syndrome can result from dysfunction in the adrenal glands and may require medical intervention.
