Topic
Circadian rhythm refers to the natural, internal process that regulates the sleep-wake cycle and various physiological and behavioral processes in a 24-hour cycle. The body's circadian rhythm is primarily influenced by environmental cues, especially the light-dark cycle. Disruptions to the circadian rhythm, such as irregular sleep patterns or jet lag, can have negative effects on overall health and well-being. Research has also linked disturbances in the circadian rhythm to various health conditions, including sleep disorders, mood disorders, metabolic disorders, and an increased risk of certain diseases. Maintaining a regular sleep schedule, exposure to natural light, and practicing good sleep hygiene can help support a healthy circadian rhythm.
