I'm Doctor Julia Ward, and today we have the pleasure of speaking with Eugene Barnette, the founder and chief technical officer of Advanced Light Devices, or Aldi. Since founding Aldi in 1998, Jean has assembled a world class team of medical professionals and product developers to advance his vision of using the power of light to heal. Jean's innovative work focuses on developing high tech laser devices and phototherapy tools for medical applications, including class three and class four laser models.

So what inspired you to establish Advanced Light Devices in 1998, and how has the company's mission evolved over the years? Well, mission has always been the same. To change the medical paradigm and improve, you know, health and access to health for people all over the Earth. I came in touch with the original not hemo irradiate your information. And I saw the little cheap little tiny copies people were trying to make.
And they were not copies. But even things that people are making today. You know, and this is 25 years ago when I said this is a good idea, poorly executed. So I decided to make a better device. And I've never been satisfied. And this is a 14 to 15 generation machine, you know, that has capabilities that no other machine has ever had. Embedded in and on planet Earth. So we had we looked at the not machine, and we realized that when people

did the analysis of the wavelengths, they only use a you. They use a spectroscope with a limited visual range. So what I did was use the wider spectrum and discovered, the colored light, you know, wavelengths and other things that are in that device that are limited and were just completely ignored by other people because they're just focused on UVC, which is not the only answer. Okay. What we decided to do was to put other wavelengths. Now the new the new device here also has bio modulation data where we can we can pulse the light.
We call more to lots of joy rates, like what Rafe used to do and so fragile and even silver and and, no gear frequencies and things like that. So we're able to not only use eight primary wavelengths of light and six sources, but also we have the optional we have devices that plug in and they're turned on down here. I didn't even want to bring them up right now because you're going to be, you know, tuned. Right. But so we have the primary wavelengths of light topical devices which we can use for cancers and wounds and, you know, therapy and pain and all kinds of things.
But also now we can pulse, let's say, if I, if I go to, rise, set up and I go to set up pulse, let's say I want to pulse these, internal sources to 20 cycles. Now, you can see 20 cycles, but you can't see 2708. You can see up to about 50. So I'm going to select I'm going to select the red in the violet right now I'm going to say okay. And then when I activate them they'll be pulsing because we're using that. We're putting that pulse rate on the blood with all the ultraviolet stuff in the green and the, you know, all of those, all those various components.
So I can, turn it off. And, also, it has the ability to remember the setting if you're doing a treatment and you have no pulse rate in there and you want to stop from bringing the bag down or, you know, infusing to aspirating whatever it might be, you can just simply pause and then come back and it comes back on. Can you explain how red light therapy works at the cellular level and its primary therapeutic benefits? Well, the way red light works at the cellular level is to excite the mitochondria and produce more energy and basically bring voltage back to what it should be and empower the mitochondria to produce up to several million times the ATP that it normally would.
And it also but it also has other benefits. A red light therapy is only one component of this device. And what we do with red light in here. The other thing that red light does is just aggregate cells. So if you have a person with micro clots, you know, we have long Covid, we have people with hypoglycemia, blood, etc. red light will aggregate cells. In other words, think of cells as being like bunches of grapes. You know, in your system, some people might have a condition called true love. We've had a condition.
We've had people wearing our our our wearable device, resolving were low in 20 minutes in the machine when you run the the blood through here, you're just aggregating cells. You're sending energy to the mitochondria because like, blood cells don't have mitochondria per se, but they're they have discovered that there's floating mitochondria in the blood now, which is interesting because we can excite that mitochondria directly with the various wavelengths of light. But suffice it to say that water retains memory.
Blood is primarily liquid. There's a lot of water in the blood, and that is carried to the cells, to the mitochondria. That energy is transported into the mitochondria and excites the mitochondria to the normal function. The health cell is a properly charged, functioning cell that's one of the aspects of red light. Now okay. We also use it topically, in combination with infrared to hyperactive very hyper circular hyper circulation area. So let's say you're giving somebody a cocktail vitamin C, nad whatever it may be.
And you want it to go like say to the liver, well, you put a pad one of these pads like we have here, this is really infrared. And I don't know which areas you have put this on that area. And what would happen is it hyper circulates that area and causes effects, greater drug delivery or substance delivery to the spine. So that's another thing that it does. That's great. So you can do like a targeted approach if you have say somebody with liver disease or does that work on like joint issues. Absolutely. You know, you can use this.
Let's say somebody has and this is doesn't even have anything to do with or to a therapy we device. But say somebody has, you know, carpal tunnel syndrome. Okay. Well there you go. You're retreating your carpal tunnel syndrome or somebody is having a treatment or without just sitting there. The machine can be used as a therapeutic device.
How Red Light Therapy Works in the Body 8:34
You can use it for neuropathy. You can use it for shoulder pain, knee pain, etc.. But what it does is it calls for normalization or tissue function. Basically that's what you're looking for is normalization is anytime you've got an injury or something, you've got inflammation where you can help resolve inflammation, right, by inducing your healing cascade. And you can also I'm on I'm being recorded right now. So, it's my wife's coming in to say hi. Okay. So, so this is, you know, for injury, or, you know, you see all these things out there, but Tommy copper stuff, there's all these, all these pans.
They're all red light therapy because it's it's, and normalizing one's life. Yeah. That's great. So that's reducing inflammation as well. Right? Like I say, in in the machine, we use it to disaggregate cells to send that energy to the mitochondria. So we're trying to resolve micro clotting and blood issues and circulatory issues, etc.. And to go back, if I can go a little further in, in the machine we have green green light in here and green improves the what they call the resistance of the blood.
And it helps open capillaries. And obviously you know we get micro circulation through micro circulation in the body. So we got this energy we're trying to send to the extremities of the body. So we open up those doorways. There's pathways a lot of things in the body or mechanical. It's simply that the capillary is too small for something to get through. You know, maybe it's like we're just like arteries doing a heart attack or something. It's a little more a little more dramatic. But the point is, you've got a small doorway in something bigger trying to get through it can't get through there.
So the capillary circulation, we're also going to help, balance redox and, hyper activate curcumin if we're using that for cancer patient or somebody to resolve inflammation because curcumin helps resolve inflammation. Wonderful. Yeah. But one way or the activated in the device it becomes more bioactive. Wow. That's really cool. We use infrared in this device now because infrared hyper activates where to kind of real energy. So we're sending that wavelength through the system to the cells to also along with the red hyper activate that mitochondrial energy.
That's great. And here we also have our two ultraviolet sources. One is the UVC and the other is in double UVA. And what we do is those two combination wavelengths form, adjacent strands, covalent bonds and adjacent strands, and double covalent bonds tracing strands of DNA. They render virus and bacteria unable to replicate. Actually, can we form? We generate an intelligence vaccine in your blood with all of these ancillary, wavelengths that help improve circulation balance. Read extended through and through, you know, and we hyper activate the Krebs cycle.
So this is a this is one of the light assemblies that we have in year two. The camera this is UVA source with your, your your violet, your red and your your green, your, your, this is medium rare. So the rare has been violet. Knowing this is Violet and this is infrared and this is red, and then in this one, we have ruby C and we have, green infrared and, and red down here. So we have these two assemblies a little cumbersome. But Chris, there is some intelligence to what I'm doing here. Yeah. Because we have these assemblies here and they sandwich this in between them.
So we have this tremendous amount of energy surrounding these, you know, the cuvette here, so that we were able to infuse an incredible amount of energy into the blood. What happens is, is this device, the blood has to go 30in to get through this. And the other device has a has a maximum of ten. And if you look at our are you able. And we have a you receive all this progress 26in long. If you if you pull that out two bulbs that are 26in long. So we have 52in of ultraviolet light emission in the 30 inch, you know, contact light.
And so that's the reason why this is so much more effective than when something like this with, you know, a little bulb inside and a little tiny, you know, it's just right. No comparison in terms of right. There's a there's another, UV device on the market, and I think you have to put an ivy in and then insert a wire into the vein itself. So it's much more limited. You can only do one wavelength at a time. Correct. That's called the Weber device. Yeah, that's the Weber device. The problem with the Weber device is in our view, and we actually had one.
And the nano analyzed its specifications. Well they say have, you know, 50mW delivery to the end of the needle. McDaniel. Well, we measured it about 5 or 10. So what happens is it might be 50 when it comes out of the machine, but by the time it gets to the line and the catheter to the patient, you've lost about 90% of it. So we don't find that a lot of people are very happy with it because it, delivers such a small amount of energy to the bloodstream that it's it's not possible to deactivate these pathogens.
Most pathogens require 50 to 100 joules of energy to deactivate them.
UV, Methylene Blue, and Blood Treatment Applications 15:00
Do you know what a jewel of energy is? No. Joules. Yeah, it's a watt per second. One watt per second. Okay. I have 90W of. So by the time it gets through here, you've got 2700 joules of energy into the blood. That's why nothing survives except the cells. Yeah, yeah. That's great. So. And so how to how do your machines compare with like, red light beds, which are commonly found in wellness centers? Well, it's interesting, I probably get more energy into my body, into my bloodstream with this little device here than you do with a juice machine standing in front of it, you know, on the wall.
It might make you feel very you might think, oh my God, I'm getting all this red light. Well, here's what we're doing here. And we have we have this energy in contact with the skin. There's only a few microns of tissue to get the radius and the owner. So what we do is if you look at this, you see this is in a bright light. It's going through my head. Yeah. Okay. So all we're trying to do is to get right here into the bloodstream. Okay. So what happens is when you wear this for 30 minutes, the entire circulating blood mass in the body burst through your wrist at least three times.
So you're treating 5000 cc's of blood three times every ten minutes. Wow. And you're doing this with these red light bags. And guess what you got here? Upper chest. Women and mothers are going to get there because you got a lot of adipose tissue. Tissue here. Outermost tissue here. So what does adipose tissue do. It absorbs light. But that really doesn't go deep into your bloodstream. This actually treats you plan like working out. Why are you going to run while you're playing tennis. While you're walking while you're working in your office and you don't have to spend time standing in front of a useless machine?
I mean, they probably have some kind of benefit. Let's say you have some skin disease or something like that that you want to treat with red light. I bet you okay. Yeah. But your those devices like that really don't deliver much energy into the bloodstream. Okay. And what are some of the most promising medical conditions that red light has been shown to treat effectively? Well, inflammatory conditions. You know, circulatory conditions. Yeah. Injuries. Prophecy and things like that. Okay. It's not red light is helpful for a lot of stuff.
But it's I mean if you're sick you need a little work environment to, to kill the pathogen. Yeah. Yeah. So the other UV wavelengths are important as well. Excuse me. So the other the other colors, the other UV wavelengths are, important for different things. Well, they're important because they're the ones that deactivate the pathogen. Would kill them and render them unable to replicate. Because when you when your blood goes through the system, when we, you know, so we drip feed it in and you do a ten pass or, you know, multiple passes and whatever you do goes in both directions.
We basically made a vaccine in the in your blood for everything. Yeah. That's amazing. That's the purpose of this. Yeah. That's amazing. So I'm not going to do that on that okay. How does red light therapy complement other regenerative treatments such as ozone therapy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. And are there synergistic effects when combining these modalities? Yeah. Yeah. And you can add to that chiropractic or acupuncture and those things because when the when the body is well adjusted, when the, when the, the energy flow in the body is better, everything works better.
Red light will work better. This therapy works better. Anything when you know that. Yeah. You know. Yes. Yeah. So, I don't know if I've answered your question. You did? Yes. Are there safety protocols or trainings that that have to be, you know, provided to the practitioners to make sure that they're effective? So, yeah, we have we have basic guidelines. But you know, bodies are different. You know, you're slim and trim and fit and everything. And I'm not quite as slim and trim and pinned as you are.
My wife is. She's a personal trainer, you know, size two, you know, just got off the treadmill for about an hour and a half. So, it depends a lot on the more measured, more, you know, more. Whatever you are, you're going to eat up a lot of that energy. In fact, it's not going to get where you want it to go. So that's why you have to put it in strategic locations if you want to get in and the supply and whatever you need to have access to enough energy to get there, probably with a lot of, devices.
Is that, you know, they don't produce enough energy, you know, or they're the wrong wavelength. So we use 625 and 660 here. Why do we use a combination? Because we actually we have some products. We use our our methylene blue. Here's our methylene blue our nano. And this has a double absorption characteristic. And the short six hundreds and the longer 600. So basically we fertile activated twice. We kick it in the ass twice to make it as powerful as possible. Yeah. Can you, when you give it that, that energy becomes an electron donor.
Okay. That so yeah, that was my next question. Can you kind of explain how methylene blue sort of complements the red? The the UV radiation. Well, not so much the, the UV, although it does have some UV absorption characteristics. It's primarily the red wavelengths that we use the photo activator to make it bioactive. Okay. Electron donor is very good for increasing oxygen availability in the body. You know that hospitals are use it when somebody gets a condition called magnesium. Now hemoglobin anemia where you have the body's inability to use, utilize the oxygen.
I can tell you a little story. When we were in Mexico City in May of 2020 to treat Covid patients, at a hospital in Mexico City, our first patient, Jan oh two of 63, she was, middle aged woman, three kids. Her husband was a detective and found out about us being in Mexico City. Brought her over there because everybody the one in the hospital came out the first. So what was happening was that the SARS component of the Covid, you know, and so reduced the amount of surfactant to numerous items producing in the lungs.
So the lungs were unable to absorb and utilize the oxygen that they were given. That's why when people were integrating, most of them died anyway because they couldn't use the oxygen they were giving. Giving their body wasn't able to absorb it. Well, we found out and we had we made this stuff for about ten years. Everybody hopped on the bandwagon the last three, five years old. Methylene blue. Methylene blue. I've been using it since 2000. For 25 years we already had it ready. So we nebulizer these patients with some of the blue and and you know, insulin and oxygen.
And we were able to bring their, their oxygen level up, you know, 1520 points.
Brain Health, ALS, and Future Device Developments 22:40
We stabilized her at 89 and 90 minutes. We gave her a couple of hemoglobin, you know, two times with the nebulizer oxygen took it away like six liters and then two liters a minute. And we were able to stabilize at 89 in 90 minutes, whereas most people, would have been intubated at the hospital and passed away. That's amazing. The the first free time of calling here, the small amount of hospital going replaced that deficit of the surfactant in the lungs and enabled the body to take up and utilize the oxygen.
It was given just a tiny bit of muscatel boiling Germans line. That's amazing. Yeah, they were all stuck in the barracks. Then we had varying levels in the 1400s. So, you know, and we saved everybody that we treatment. It was great to stay in foreign countries. You're integrating people. Yeah. And it's trying to like 4 or 5 gallon bucket of water into a strong I mean, you know, it's just right. You know you're not going to get anywhere. You know. Yeah. Yeah. That was futile. Calling was the key.
And exactly. Yeah. Factoring deficit. Yeah. Oh that's really great. So what advancements do you foresee in the field of red light therapy and how is advanced like devices positioning itself to lead in these developments? Well, we have a couple little things here. We used, oddly enough, have a Red Lantern. Wow. Okay. We're using this thing here instead of red. We're using this one with the, the big pads on the corpus callosum, and we're able to help with, cognitive decline, memory issues, things like things like that.
Because we're we're driving those light right through the auditory canal into the brain. But there's a tremendous amount of blood flow here. And so when we're we nebulizer methylene blue and we photo activate the blue in the brain with our red light headset. And of course, you know, I mean, it it looks kind of silly. It's not a kind of red headset here. Yeah, but you're doing this. You get a tremendous amount of energy and and you're and you're putting this on here. We get more energy in this than you do with one of these freaking helmets like they have.
And is that is that going to still penetrate like somebody's hair? Like, if they if they have a lot of hair, have the infrared there, which shows, you know, like dozens or, you know, the hair doesn't do. All right. That's why we also use this because there's, you know, unless you had really hairy years, you know, it's going to like, it's going to get into your brain. That's. And how many, like, how long would somebody sit under that for a period. 30 minutes. Okay. Whereas once or twice a day we have people that are picking up, you know, memory, memory function, etc..
Yeah. You know, cognitive decline over reverse that this will also activate. And so if you somebody nad and you use the headset. Yeah. More delivery to the brain and you're also going to get a better result. Well that's great. Do you have any, client, you know, or patient success stories using that. Yeah. We have, we have a lot of doctors use our stuff to report things to us. It's not any kind of a formal study or anything like that because. Yeah, it's not, it's not set up in that way. But we're in the process now of harvesting some of that information so we can use it.
Testimonials. Yeah. I can tell you that we have applied to the FDA for, September 26th. We've applied to the FDA for a investigative device exemption for the human element for Lou Gehrig's disease. ALS. Okay. And so we've had tremendous success in South Miami. We're the last four years, and people are wheelchair bound and walking and improving their health tremendously, using one hemoglobin as, one of the primary drivers of the protocol. Wow, that we we expect to have an answer. We're going to have to push them because they're going through this.
Transitional period. Now, the change in administrations. Sure. Yeah, a lot of them are, well, people who work at home and they don't. You done. So. Okay, technically, we're approved by statute, but we're not going to push the issue. We're waiting for the letter from them to say that we do have the official ID, so we can use this widely in the United States and for new Gehrig's disease and for those patients with, ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease. You said they're using the hemoglobin. How often are they getting treatments with that?
I think it depends on the patient, but I think it's pretty much of, a, an intense protocol where they're treated multiple times a week. Okay. Three times a week. Okay. So a number, a number of weeks. This doesn't happen overnight, right? Right. I think it's probably, I think it's a 3 or 4 week protocol. Okay. My partner Dennis has more information, you know, on that because he's working with a doctor in South Miami and put the document together. I have it here somewhere. Just didn't know I was going to get into that.
Okay. No, that's fine, that's fine. But we do have we. I need you. I can probably look it up in the file. Okay. We have enough information to demonstrate that it works. Okay? We filed with the FDA. Nobody who makes a device like this has ever even attempting to get it FDA cleared. That's great. What can they show that it does? Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Beautiful. Well, thank you so much for your for your time and all the explanation. About these devices that I absolutely love, the, hemoglobin. And, I feel like I need a few of your attachments, which we don't have at this point.
So all we can talk about. And we also have one here that I brought out, and that's a laser here. I don't know where it is. We have a violet pair that we use for breast cancer and for topical cancers. So, it's it's just like this pad only it only it's this wavelength. It's it's it's the violent. Okay. And the violet activates your curcumin. So if you have a, a breast cancer where you put curcumin on there with some DMSO or something, you know, topically, big pad on it, and you're also running the blood through the system using the violet as one of those components.
You will see some amazing results. And it's great. But you in connection with my doctor here in Las Vegas, Doctor Beagley and she's done some patients like that as well as we have. Another doctor in Kansas City who, starting to use it, you know, for that we have vacuum in here. The girls are cleaning now. Okay. We didn't know they were coming in. That's okay, that's okay, I can't hear. So, the, the violet is incredibly helpful to activate the curcumin. Curcumin hates cancer. It's also a great anti-inflammatory.
So we can give me some more information on that. We. Things are available now. And you asked what other stuff is coming. We have the inner cavitation probe, HPV, vaginal and rectal cancers and things like that. And we've got this device that you can use as well. Okay. That's really interesting. Awesome.
