Are You Using Oil Wrong? The Best Way to Use Oil on Eczema Skin
7 hours ago
- Olive oil is the one to put down. Researchers had adults apply it twice a day for four weeks and found it reduced the integrity of the skin barrier and caused mild redness. That is why every product in my shop is olive oil free, on purpose.
- Vitamin E oil is not what its name suggests. There is no vitamin E fruit that someone squeezes. It is a family of fat soluble compounds usually derived from soy and blended into a carrier oil the label never names, and soy is one of the most reactive allergens for our kids.
- The order of operations matters as much as the ingredient. Oil goes on before the bath, then you pat the skin instead of scrubbing it and layer while it is still damp, because oil on its own cannot put water back into parched skin.
