My father had hypertension. He was in poor health for as far back as I can remember: morbidly obese, all the wrong foods in copious amounts; cigarettes, cigars, pipes; immobility due to emphysema, etc. Most of my adult life has been passed in fighting off variations of poor food, destructive substances, lack of physical activity. Success has been off & on for years.
When the medical field seems to be in collaboration with the pharmaceutical industry to optimize profits by NOT focusing on how to produce health, and to NOT discover and tackle the source of symptoms, we seem to be in a continual downward spiral as a species.
